As I said Sandhya I am not analysing Ruqu's feeling - what they were, are and will be. I am currently not in the frame of mind to do that since I have too much work to do!!! This needs an uncluttered thinking which I cannot do as of now!!!

completely agree with you, Shyamala, when you say that this magic which surrounded AkDha and us should be enjoyed and exalted in for as long as it lasts...without dwelling too much into the past grievances nor future anxieties.

exceptionally well written and your expressive style of writing is something i have always admired.

Kudos to the screenplay and dialogue writer and the director who was able to get the right expressions from our two versatile actors Rajat and Paridhi...

Thank you.

My thoughts on Sandhya.A ques.
Strictly based on what has been shown in the serial, Ruq and Jalal married at a tender age when they did not even realise what marriage is or in fact what is companionship as mates. They were kids playing together. Ruq has no relative alive and there is just one person in the world to call her own truly and that is Jalal. So her childhood is supposed to be spent with her husband who again became king at a young age. This is a boy who is taught to fight wars, kill people, be ruthless, merciless and gain power. This is what Ruq and Jalal share- power. Ruq gains control over harem by virtue of Jalal being Shehenshah and she is showered with expensive things. Ruq has never been exposed to other relationships or other things in life. Her world revolves around Jalal and Harem. Jalal thinks that women are meant to be ruled over and all they desire is material things.
Since there has been a emotional disconnect with primary guardians-parents, Jalal is shown to be more trusting towards Maham Anga than his own mother. In one of the episode, he expresses displeasure when Hamida had come to see him.
For their own ulterior motive Bairam Khan trains Jalal to be ruthless, merciless and autocratic and be obsessed with power and control. Maham Anga despite being a mid nurse, she too wants to have power and control thereby hidden ruler.
Jodha on the other is shown to have affection of parents, grandmother, brother, sister and friends etc. She has a more lively and caring childhood. Jodha understand more about life than these two. She is exposed to human values more.
Jalal meets Jodha and finds her not only beautiful but also someone who is different than his other begums. He gets to know she is talented and brave. That fascinates him and more so now he is an adult man who has seen the world and getting exposed to the finer things in life. Jodha exposes him to the human side and the beautiful side of life-music, kindness, forgiveness, care, understanding, respect. Somewhere these qualities awaken what Jalal wants to be or desire to be. Hence his special bond with Jodha. Perhaps for the first time in a relationship, Jalal is finding out that it is not about power but about each other-feelings/emotions and care.
Of course, I do not want Ruq to be shown as a negative character. The CVs have ruined her character. She should be still be his begum/friend/guide.

hello guys,
I am not new to this forum but never posted anything and have been a silent reader so far but wanted to post my views on jalal and ruqs relationship.
It's true that they both share a great bond and she is very loyal to him but she was never there for him when he needed emotional support. Like for instance where was she when khan baba died and after his sister's betrayal ,he was broken down in both cases once she was on her way to solve a silly harem issue and the other time gloating in the hamam that jalal never lied to her, doesn't even spare a thought for jalal how he must be feeling. She has never been that person to jalal who would lend a shoulder to cry on. May be it's the cv's fault or something but she doesn't appear as spiritual as jalal and they can't connect on that level also. She tries to own him where as in true love you surrender to each other . She likes to flaunt that she is mallika -e -khaas and even the shehensha won't dare to oppose her opinion. May be I am being too harsh on her I don't know but the minute she got to know that she was pregnant the MUZ status is what she thought of ,not jalal and his happiness , it was an after thought.
Jalal , no matter how many times he repeats he is bereham and has no dil he is very emotional in the short association jodha has realised it but Ruqs still thinks he has no dil ,how many instances might have been there which showed her his gentle side like his love for the kids and the loyalty he has towards his badi ammi and the hurt that he feels because his mother abandoned him when he was a baby etc.. That's why even though jalal cares for her and respects their bond can't connect to her and feels lonely.
Even, Lord krishna had many wives and he used to take all the nakhras from satyabhama but at the end his heart belonged to rukmini who surrendered herself to him and never expected anything in return. Hope I made some sense. Sorry for the long rant.

waise Sandhya, even a mother with more than one child cannot claim to be non-partisan in her love - that she loves all her children equally - toh why do we even expect this from a man with multiple wives or a woman with multiple husbands????

Also one more point that I have Sandhya - If this is a soul connect btwn Jalal and Jodha and as he said in the soul talk dono ka wajood ek doosre se hai - then I dont think one can now talk of Jalal and Jodha as 2 seperate ppl - they have already become one its just 2 bodies - in that way this no longer is a triangle - but a relation btwn Jalaljodha and Ruqu or a relation btwn Jalaljodha and Salima and so on.

ruquiya loves jalal & tht too without the auda factor. if u remember she slapped hosiyaar when, he told her to kill jodha's baby. why?? bcoz its jalal's baby. tht time she was not worried about MUZ 'auda'. this time also she was really worried about jodha, bcoz jodha saved jalal. her fascination towards auda is not her love for it, but her insecurity of loosing jalal. she was just 9 when she got married to jalal. she lost her parents before tht, so for her jalal is evrything. she grew up with tht fear, bcoz she very well knew tht for a king any queen can become spl. anyday. so she sumhow started to feel tht if she can maintain her begum-e-khas auda, tht means she will always remain spl. for jalal. dont forget, when mainawati got to know about ruquiya's pregnancy even she got worried about jodha's position. so in those days position was a big factor for evryone whether its the mughals or rajvanshis. yes i agree ruquiya gets selfish & she cant see any women take the "khaas" position in jalal's life, but its simply bcoz of her own insecurities. now prob is tht jalal & ruku were too small when they got married & they were always into tht friendship mode. the irony is tht, love cant happen evrywhere. so jalal didnt felt the same way for ruku which he feel for jodha. maybe ruku always wanted tht love from jalal & jalal had always pampered her with the imp. of the position. actually jalal, jodha & ruku themselves r trapped in such a situation from where they have to come out together. we can criticize either of them but the fact is tht its the responsibility of all 3 of them to solve the entire matter so tht all 3 can be happy together.

Shyamala...I wrote a long post after a month on yur thread and then it all crashed..😡..so will just write in brief..
I was waiting so anxiously for your analysis.I feel my viewing of episode is complete only after reading your post! I had infact stopped seeing JA but i did read some of your updates and the lovely posts in your thread!Just got into my system😊..But yes, I really enjoyed the Fri episode after a long time. I was glad to see my old Jalal back-strong,matured, perceptive, mischievous and in command of the situation. He truly looked like an Emperor in Love. And Jodha came across as this adorable Rajvanshi and their interaction was very cute and just as it should've been.Though I must confess, am not sure how and when Jalal got so deeply attached to her as to find her this indispensable..That's strange when a man has so many wives, most of whom will be ready to die for him..He may love one more than the other but such emotional dependance for an Emperor?I wonder if there was any basis or build up to such feelings shown. But well..am not analyzing or bothering much about this part because it's obviously a JaJo love story and they have to show such epic love.Besides, I probably may have missed some crucial scenes that led to this depth in his feelings for her. Or may be it is one of those so-called unexplainable things. Why, how and what yu feel for someone can just not be defined😊

I have a different opinion on the letter issue.Yes it may not seem important as Jalal has now accepted his feelings for her and seems to be at peace finally. He can balm his ego with this knowledge of his love for her.And yes they say true love does not need proof and all. But I somehow feel this sounds good only in theory..It does not work in reality. We humans grab onto negativities more than the positives. And I've seen some of the best relationships go kaput..I do feel it's important to express sometimes..And I don't think yu really forget the wrongs done to yu.they stay buried in some deep recess of your mind, that even yu don't know exists. And these layers magically surface when yu are at your lowest...And that is why I feel Jalal should know.He should know that Jo never meant to insult him.He should never hold any wrong memory in his mind, that may have the potential of getting misused at a trying time in future. This is of course purely my POV...most may not agree. And am sure CVs won't show it too as Maham is here to stay for long.
This is just a general opinion i have based on my observations.Implicit trust is idealistic, but not practical.Certain situations demand clarification.Otherwise small misunderstandings lead to tsunamis!

Thanks for a brilliant analysis. I always look forward to reading your posts after watching the show to understand them more.
Jalal said that he fell in love with Ben. When did he fall in love with her? We were shown Jalal using her mainly to make Jodha jealous. He once even washed his hands after her touch.
In The Soul Talk Jalal wished that Jodha hadn't allowed Ben into his life. Can you please explain how Jodha allowed Ben into his life when he was never interested in her and initially didn't even want to marry her?
Something else that I don't understand is why they never discuss over The Shove everytime the topic comes up? I am sure they would had solved The Letter MU long ago.
