I agree with you, Rowling has crafted the story splendidly. Her books have been best seller worldwide. I will definitely try to read HP. One of my nephew has the whole collection. I have seen one of the movies though- Half blood prince.
JA is for entertainment after a long and tiring day at work. I caught on to it while missing my English shows😆😆 It was during their marriage track promos. The previous episode I watched on YouTube😛😆 . What caught attention was the valour of Jodha and the ego and shrewdness of Jalal. The actors performed brilliantly⭐️
My recent favourites have been The Mentalist, The Big Bang Theory and Suits. Currently none of these is airing except repeat of Big Bang I could not watch Suits😭 or The Mentalist😭. Does anyone have internet links? I have tried but it just does not work for India😭😭😭 I read on net about identity of Red John, what a let down🥱 Don't know about Suits

For saying The Mentalist, I LOVE YOU!!! A BIG CHUMMA! 😃

After Jalal, Patrick Jane is MY DREAM MAN! I ADORE HIM!

And Simon Baker of course. THAT ACCENT. ☺️

Ideally I should be PMing you , Sasha aunty's going to come at me with her studded jootis 😆 but here you go-

Or just type in The mentalist links & you'll get a whole lot of options! They always work for me!

Good Lord,Lashy, how can you???

I came to Harry Potter in 2000, at nearly 50, when the Goblet of Fire came out to a huge, glowing review in Time, and I overcame my reluctance to spend my scarce spare time on a kiddie series . I read the four books back to back and I was well truly hooked by this marvellously clever combination of The Lord of the Rings and the Enid Blyton school stories of my childhood.

I am a great Tolkien fan, and that was a literary masterpiece with an entirely internally consistent alternate world, with simple virtues like friendship, loyalty and sacrifice.

JK Rowling is no Tolkien and her writing style is mostly flat, but she too has created an entirely internally consistent alternate world, with simple virtues like friendship, loyalty and sacrifice.

By the time The Half Blood Prince came out, I was in Ottawa as our High Commissioner, and I went to the stores at midnight to get my copy and to celebrate with all the rest.

Then came The Deathly Hallows, and The Prince's Tale just blew me away. I am still to recover from that shock and the empathetic grieving over the dying Severus Snape looking for Lily's green eyes in Harry's face. Look at me!

As usual, Adiana, remarkably perceptive.

Shyamala, I was watching Jalal of 'The Night' and the Jalal from yesterday - found a very interesting difference - the Jalal of 'The Night' was looking for validation for his Love, whereas the Jalal from yesterday no longer needed validation since it seemed Love had become his validation - he has lost the tentativeness that was there on 'The Night'. It is very subtly done by Rajat but it is there.

Awww Patrick Jane is ❤️❤️ something else. I rate him above😳 and Specter too. Jane's smirk is awesome. The way he psyches out people.

And Simon Baker of course. THAT ACCENT. ☺️
Simon is the perfect Jane👍🏼 Yeap everything about him. And the guy never fights😆

I second you on this Shyamala!!! I too was on to HP in 2000 and since then I have been huge fan and Snape was the bravest of them all!!! And Alan Rickman was a casting coup for the role IMO!!!
