While Jodha would naturally not remember anything that was said to or by her rooh, something of that exchange seems to have seeped into her zehen. See, she is glad but not shellshocked when she is told about all that Jalal did for her while she was at death's door. If she had not realised something new about him and his feelingsfor her, she would have expected him to cremate her with full honours and be done with her.

Moreover,this rooh business in a leit motif here, and has been so from the beginning. So why should Jodha's rooh be only a projection of Jalal's feelings and his views on what she would say? It might well have been there as a spectral presence. Eurydice was a presence, and she followed Orpheus till he mucked things up by looking back, whereupon she vanished and was lost for ever.

The movies are lovely but nothing compared to the books.

I read all and sundry except the very heavy ones. Ja is my first outing in serials. And lashy, you write too well for one who is not a great reader. Or is it always like that?😲
