Lashy I just posted this on Shyamala's thread. This is my take regarding the soul talk of yesterday - Jalal getting Jodha back

Firstly this is Jalal's perspective and hence we have to disregard anything Jodha says as coming from her - it is purely Jalal's assumption.

Secondly, I go with Shyamala over the Hakima sahiba's statement - she is not a psychiatrist or a psychologist and neither does she know anything about or that happened to Jodha to make that sweeping statement that the Queen has no reason to live or has lost the will to live - It is perhaps her way of saying that the Queen's fight for survival has lost intensity due to loosing strength - this is very similar to a woman childbirthing where she tends to get tired and hence there are others around who motivate her to not just bring the baby out but also fight for her own life - Jodha is in a similar mental situation where she is fighting to push the effects of the poison out but has become tired and needs the motivation and enthusiasm to continue her fight - She is not a loser. She is a fighter.

So what did the Emperor do? I have always said that this man understands human nature better than anyone else - and I am floored by the way the writers proved this yesterday!!! - The entire soul talk was the Emperor providing that much needed motivation and passion for life to Jodha to 'Make that Final Push' (pun intended) - And that is why we do not see him pleading or begging but see him angry and ready to fight - Those words were not for him or from his pov - they were hers and from her pov!!! He makes his own words come from Jodha only becoz he feels that when a person is tired and is at the last point of his / her strength its the negatives that tend to hold one down and make one give up - Jodha used those words in the DEK becoz she was at the end of her tether trying to find a way to save his life - she is now at the end of her strength and he realises that those words have the potency to make her give up - hence the words, which he assumes are what making her give up, to which he counters with the spirit of fight that he knows she has, which can get her going for the final assault - And if you note, She is still and looking at him even as he extorts her in the Astral level - very similar to someone gathering that last bit of their strength and make that final attack - taking that great breath in and pushing all the effects of the poison out. And that mohabbat confession was not just him or for him - it was for her and from her - As Shayamala has pointed, he has already told her that their wajood is now from the other - It was making her fight to get back to Love and Life.

Today's conversation will be all the more interesting becoz we are not and I repeat not going to get a word of Love or any such from the Emperor. What we may get is more of that, which will make the Chudail mad and want to fight him and get back to her 'I will not give a quarter' mode!!!

Thanks for the wonderful explanation, Lashy, loved reading it. But the thing is I got what was implied in that last scene, but why weren't we shown this progression in feelings is my question. Then I would have felt better seeing that confession scene. But yahan toh ek bahut bada jump hua to confession , though Jalal was saying it to an unconscious Jodha to motivate her to fight for her life.

Instead of making us suffer thro that Ben nonsense, couldn't they ve shown some FB bits of Jodha introspecting too on some of her past behaviour , if not realising any "prem" as such for her Jalal. Of course, we all know she loves him though she hasnt realised it or accepted it to herself yet, she wouldn't have been prepared to risk her life for his otherwise. But my gripe is why weren't we shown atleast some realisation on Jo s part before this confession scene happened.

Of course, am sure we r going to get all this from now on, Jo s introspection on various past events, thinking about that 'Night' etc etc , but still the timing of yday s confession jumped the gun a bit for me, so I ll still be dissatisfied with its timing, although from Jalal s POV , that very desperate situation called for his brand of desperate remedy, I guess. But still the CVs could have shown a better progression leading to it. Hope I got my point across to u, & a very big sorry for spoiling it for u

Shraddha, first of all congratulations!!! for winning JA awards. I am really happy that the people that i really wanted to win have won awards in different category.

I am happy to c ur superb and amazing analysis again.

I hope u don't mind but I am going to copy and paste my thoughts that I had posted on mansi's analysis.here it goes

First of all, I am REALLY HAPPY with today's episode. The first scene was not shown before exactly the way it was shown today. Jodha had asked to remove shoes but when mainavati had come. I feel the point of flashback scenes was to show how they were before. But, couple things I noticed was Jalal was standing at the door and then when he saw jodha, he stepped in involuntarily as if someone had pushed him in there or subconsciously. I also noticed that when jalal said so ur praying for aman and shanti and then he was like either ur god is joking with u or there is something missing in ur prayer. otherwise, u would not have ended up with a guy who is bereham and hearltess and then real jalal at this point had tears which showed regret.

I also loved when Jalal (here i am talking about Rajal and his little nuances) did kanha's arti espeically when he picked up diya, he was not too sure if arti should start from right or left. he actually moved arti little too left and then he realized it should go to right first. Then, when he was praying, he started with islamic was with open hands and then closed it in hindu way and then there was a flashback. I also liked this time Hamida was there to support him.

I liked when jalal asked aawam to pray for jodha begum but i was lil surprised that he did not say that jodha begum risked her life to save me, ur shahenshah. i wonder if they already knew? for some reason, i wished he added that bit in his request then it would have seemed complete.

My FAV. SCENE- last scene of jodha and jalal. I LOVED THAT SCENE . I have lil difft take than u on this scene or should i say that's how i thought it was playing. I know they showed us that jalal and jodha were in nether world and talking but how i saw the scene or thought was that Jalal was actually syaing all these to jodha on bedside and we were shown the versions of nether world to see how jodha is reacting what real jalal is saying on bedside. after, i read ur analysis, I see what u r saying that it was jalal's soul calling jodha's soul and not real jalal saying all this(if i understood properly from ur analysis).

I just loved LOVED that scene. Rajat is awesome as usual but now I feel Paridhi has getting better with little nuances and change of expression especially on monday's episode when she snatches poisned sevaiiyan and today too in last scene. My fav. part were when Jalal said that allah kasam hum aapse mohabbat karte hain aur apne is dil mein jazbat aur pyar jagaya, Rajat was just too good and when jodha herad that Paridhi had soft smile of satisfaction and happiness. Second fav. part was when Jalal gets mad and it's my order and I am not letting u go...our life are connected to each other. ur life is mine and mine is urs. Rajat was gritting his teeth in anger, pain, desperation and jodha (Paridhi) had tears in her eyes and her eyes were conveying i want to be with u 2 but my destiny is not with me and i have to fulfill my vachan of embracing death before to save u. then Jalal saying i make my own destiny, hum jung chhed denge ... oh my my--- I am getting carried away. RAJAT AND PARIDHI 👏👏

P.S. as much as i loved the episode, i did feel that all the feelings they showed of jalal was all of sudden. wished they had shown some self-talk of him during benazir track and also self-talk of jodha too before eating poisned sevaiiyan. then, it would have been lil better but may be jalal was hiding it intentionally as he said yesterday but today when he was losing jodha,it came allout.

P.P.S just saw latest promo and i lvoe it but i hope they r not deceiving us like after tiger attack promo they showed.

P.P.P.S I read last chapter of ur ff and posted a comment too in case u missed it.

@ Gayatri and Shan
Shan if you missed the last month due to Benazir you also missed the transition of Jodha...😳

Gaytatri, Jodha has never been shown as one who reflects on past incidents much...only once have we ever seen her internal turmoils and that's before the suicide...
Jalal on the other hand has been shown recalling past incidents many times...be it, the payal scene, the munh dikhaayi the ghangaur episode, all of it...he has visions, he recalls things...
Jodha on the other hand is not astute in the matters of the heart...constantly requiring Salima, Mothi or HB to prod her in that angle...even after fake pregnancy track HB had to remind her what a big step jalal had taken...even now, She's still innocent/ignorant enough to give her feelings the stamp of maasa's words/vachan and kartavya

However, for this lady now, her actions now does speak louder than her words...in the past 2 months she's gone from Ham us Benazir se jalte Nahin hain, Hamein Jalan kyun ho rahi hai, to Hamein shehenshah ki parvaah Nahin sirf kartavya hai... to shehenshah Mahaan hai (for forgiving her family during Shivani) to Hamein shehenshah ki rakshaa Karni hai Chaahe meri jaan hi na chali jaaye (despite the humiliations she's under gone) ...

she's cried many a tear at finding herself helpless to save him, even when Mothi asks why she keeps going to him only to get rebuked she says she HAS to do it...she doesn't know why...in fact, last instance when Mothi clearly says it's love...she takes a full moment to reflect on it and then refute it...
If that's not falling in love, what is? For an arrogant self respecting lady to go from what she was till the fake pregnancy track...to now...is a huge huge shift! And that's love...😳

Lashy dear, beautifully analysed as always. And I love the fact that when you analyse it is always Akdha in mind and not Jalal or Jodha alone.😃 This is what that draws me to your posts.😉
Agreed with all that you have written. You have a way with words. 😛
Loved the first scene where we saw Jallu-Jo nok-jhok (after a really long time) and then Jallu lighting up the diya and doing the aarti. Loved the brief Hamida-Jalal scene. Though there was not much talking, the scene said it all. Well, I was eager to know what is Shahi Shafa khana, and I saw it yesterday. While seeing Pari, I could draw parallels with chicken being grilled😆 Jokes apart, if that is what was done in reality, then hats off to our purvaj for discovering and trying such techniques to separate poison from the body.
However the best scene for me was the last one. Jallu saying takliya to all including Ruq was so very good. Though the entire idea of Jo departing to heaven was filmy, the conversation was so so beautiful that I could really relate to it. Jo was standing all calm and peaceful as she knew she had done her duty. She had lost all hope or might be she didn't want to return back, due to the pricking words of Jallu (they should these dialogues twice - now and before Jo consumed poison). Jallu was quite contrasting - teary eyed, showed anger, pleaded a bit and also showed hope by saying that he loves her and cannot live without her. The lone smile that came from Jo was when Jallu said that he has dil now and she is in it. The lone tear that trickled from one of her eye was when he said that her beloved Kanha will pull from death. During their entire conversation, they had an unwavering, direct eyelock. Wow! I actually relished that scene. It was like hope against no hope. In fact I enjoyed this scene, more than the dargah scene. Personally, I so very much loved it. Here, Paridhi and Rajat where awesome and I applaud them for pulling this scene so beautifully. Both are just apt for their title roles.
In reality, I know when Jo wakes up, the situation and the dialogues might differ. We might not get to see a confession. In fact maybe he or she will be angry or maybe there would be a sorry part. But nevertheless, the episode was very good for me.
