Jodha's flashback.
Right before she drinks that poison, she remembers her vow, pehra and how Jalal hold her hand during the wedding ceremony. For me the vow symbolised the fact that the same vow which she said reluctantly at that time had finally sink in her mind and heart. Now, she finally accepted Jalal as her husband wholeheartedly. The pehra and the holding hands, their 1st 'touch', symbolised that they are bound together as husband and wife. With Jodha's hand was completely covered by Jalal's, Jodha finally admitted to herself that everything about her are COMPLETELY his.
When she almost passed out, slightly smiling, if you noticed, and at peace that Jalal is save from the 'snake', again she remembers the pehras that symbolised the promise they have made as husband and wife, to stay together never separated. Then the sindoor, the visible mark of their relationship, again is telling me that Jodha is acknowledging Jalal as her husband, the bound between them and their togetherness.
The next hand holding scene was shown in Jalal's flashback too but with different meaning and interpretation. I'll explain it in Jalal's part. But for Jodha, the hand holding after wedding blessing, the scene when Jalal stood so close to her for the first time and removed the face coverduring sword fighting, and hand holding scene during aarti are moments that she holds dearly in her heart. Those moments were few moments when they don't really hate each other and was actually attracted to each other. Those were the moments that reminded her what could have happen if they both were open to any kind of possibility about their relationship. Moments before misunderstandings and where Jalal for first times had genuinely touch her heart. Then the realisation of their oneness and their togetherness were again showed when they saved the diya.
After understanding all of these, I felt not disappointed at all about her remarks that she had fulfilled her responsibility. Because finally the responsibility is not to Amer, HB or anyone else but to Jalal. And, at that crucial moments, her last moments, she can only think about Jalal as the flashback was the prove, she only tries to stay alive to let him know that she had no regret because she knows he'll feel guilty, hoping that with that knowledge her husband's pain will lesser and she only sees him (please ignore the bad editing/directing)till the end. I just love the way she kept looking at him and him only until she passed out.
Jalal's flashback.
I don't want to make Jalal's part long because there are so many members that already post it.
And I shared almost same opinion with them.
But, I specifically choose the flashback when he stormed out of Jodha's room to the dargah for my post. Because finally, Jalal understands how much Jodha loves the fact that he trusts her. Loves it so much that she didn't hate him anymore.
I also like the fact that Jalal realised that Jodha too had began to trust him too. How? The first hand holding scene in Jalal's flashback is the scene where Jodha holds his hand to stop it from trembling. Then, the same one with Jodha's too, the wedding blessing scene. He realised how different was Jodha in those 2 scenes.
The New Jodha is willingly to hold his hand when they were alone, without any pressure from others like she did accept his hand in wedding blessing scene, because Hamida was there. It shows that Old Jodha wouldn't trust him enough to let him holds her hand let alone willingly touch his. But the New Jodha can do that without a blink.
