To TM, dear there are many laws in the Sharia which did not allow many things like drinking alcohol, love affairs, etc. , but with time there has been many changes in them. Worshipping idols is strictly prohibited in Islam n many such things n that's why i guess Akbar came up with Din-e-Ilahi. Maybe he wanted a religion where an individual can worship the Almighty in anyway he/she wants. Plus please don't say things like "what if Hindus are made to do this n that", it may hurt people and will ignite an unnecessary fight. Just relax dear, the show is about Jodha Akbar so they have to show such things, they even showed some negativity towards hindus from Mughals, so just take it with a pinch of salt n ignore. Peace.😊

he practiced hinduism too and prayed to sun and use to listen to Meera bai bhajans..

and Rahim Khane-khana was a devotee of lord krishna and has written many dohas which we us a kids have learnt in school level...

is it very much necessary to bring a topic on religions in the healthy forums...everyone knows what is not allowed in ISLAM...but we dont live in that era where we strictly bind our views to religious strict rules...
in that case girls should live under burkah for whole life, if they come out of the house without burkah an evil eye can fall on them...

so when we can abolish burkah system ...why cant we ignore that we need to come out of religious bounds which hinders the growth of society..

pity on ppl who still keep that mindset...

we should respect each others religion i agree and we should not show down other religions that is good...

Jalal became Akbar the great in 16th century coz his thinking was far away from century...😳

Parijat, I understand what you are saying. But I guess you don't know much about Islam. 😊
But for a Muslim, praying to anyone but Allah is considered Shirk and that's an unforgivable sin. Allah never forgives someone who commits Shirk. It's way more of a sin than not doing burkha!

A muslim doesn't remain muslim if he commits Shirk.

Asking a muslim person to pray to idols is like asking a vegeterian to eat mutton!

Respecting a religion and performing that religion's rituals are two different things! 😊

Akbar was spiritual not religious. Allah is everywhere and if you believe one religion is above than another, you need to learn love and humanity. God has many forms.

This show in Akbar, Akbar built temples and use to talk to many saints, including Meera. He also use to drink Ganges water.

This is on Akbar, not Orthodox version of Islam

do you know what...the khuran was written according to there times where the writer of khurran/bagawadgita lived...
The holy books were written so that people wont loose trust on God, and beliefs...

once the era is over they should actually modify according to present mindset...

even though khuran has mentioned it as shirk and u wont remain muslim after commiting worshipping idol...

I dont think any god whose heart is filled with love for human race, can punish anyone...

God have lots of mercy... god knows only one thing show mercy and forgive and bless...he knows to bless...

if he punishes than he wont remain god...

God only knows to love, bless, forgive...and fill our lifes with happiness...

Also I'm really impressed how this girl was attacked for saying her take on things, with words like ''intolerant'' or ''uneducated''.There is not a ''right'' way to think, just different points of view. You can't preach tolerance and attack people for not thinking they way you do. That's intolerance itself. 🤔 Maybe she didn't know about Akbar involvement in Hinduism but the rest of what she said is not wrong.

THIS!

Totally agree!

People are attacking her and speaking of religion tolerance simultaneously!

Hypocrisy at it's peak ! 😆

What you are referring to is a version of Orthodox islam, and Akbar followed Islam (sufi version), This is history, the only one who was orthodox was Shah Jahan's son. My point, Akbar followed alot of beliefs or religions. There is nothing wrong with him doing prayer in a different way, thats the beauty of real ONENESS!!!!!!

I understand you. I am a Muslim, so can relate to your hurt. Actually CVs wanted to show the extent Jalal can go to save Jodha. Religion cannot bind his love for her. Jodha is a Krishna bhakt, hence Jalal is praying to Him, so that Kanha listens to him. The woman worships Kanha, Kanha cannot take her life. With this hope he prayed.
