I felt Jalal's brain is slowly coming back and I am happy about that.

He can as well kneel down next to Jodha's bed and scream, Jodha Begum App aise nahi jaa sakte, hame bachane keliye, kyu appka pran sankat me daala????// etc

This is exactly what I thought and I think I told this somewhere before in this thread itself (Or some other thread). This scenario is OK. He will go on his knees in front of God and not Jodha.

No, no, my dear Bobby (and all my dear young people eager to give me a shoulder to cry on😉), you underestimate me!

I do not like tel maalishes at night, though it is sweet of you to be so concerned about what you are convinced is an incipient depression. Plus I do not need one at all!

In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole episode, and I thought the googly the CVs bowled us was a very clever one. See, they have spared us all the shrieking and shouting that a revelation that Jodha had bumped the KT off would inevitably call forth from Ruqaiya and Mahaam, plus an OTT trial scene. I actually preferred loveanime's and Komal's scenarios to the trial one, and I only offered that as a more likely one then theirs.

At least this was better than the lousy alternatives floating around, and they even managed to explain the absence of the boatman. And Jalal in the boat was like an illustration for weary detachment.

Next, I loved the scene and a half between Jalal and Jodha, the half being when he glowers up at her from the garden path. I was very pleased that he had made out at once that it was Jodha, and yet he did not say a word, either in public or even to her as an assertion, not a teasing question.

His face after she leaves the DEK once his catechism was finished, was a study in brooding introspection, and Rajat brought that off splendidly. He looked like a Van Dyke portrait ready to be framed. He is ruminating over what precisely made her do that, and probably telling himself that it could not be pure jealousy. I am sure he wondered as to whether Jodha was right in her accusation against the KT.

It remains to be seen how this is developed. In the precap, he seemed on the point of asking her WHY she had done it. Again, Rajat's face was as smooth as marble, unnaturally and, possibly, deceptively calm.

The hammy wife vs vamp scene between Jodha and the KT was a pure delight, so splendidly predictable, with Jodha pulling out all the Rajvanshi stops. I was a tad surprised, then pleased, that she did not let on the KT, in vintage Jodha style, that it was she who had deliberately avoided pincushioning her. Our Jodha Begum is on a learning track, it seems! If the KT had been told that, she would have very soon found a way to dispose of Jodha Begum, as being far too dangerous.

I would have forgiven Jodha all her follies, past, present and future, for that splendid addition to our lexicon of choice Jodhaisms, grhinit jantu! I was hysterical with laughter every time I rewound the recording and watched that bit once more. Oh, Lord, it has set me off again!

Don't be puzzled and dismayed by the above, Bobby, I really mean all of it. It was a fun episode and it was such a pleasure to see the KT looking so downmarket next to Jodha, and to be able to look forward to seeing Salima and Jodha traipsing around togged up in daasi's clothes. Jodha looked delightful in Moti's clothes in Amer, but I don't know about Salima. And by the time they are changed and ready to take up the chase. Benazir would be long out of sight!

Shaymla, You perfectly summed my view on today's episode. It was very well executed and I enjoyed every bit of it. I liked the twist in the opening scene, Jalal and Jodah's very telling long eye contact on the garden path, return of the great intelligence (everywhere), Jalal's interrogation act at the end of the DEK session, even Jodha's bhashanbajhi and determination during her interaction with Big Ben, and last but not least - Jalal's (not so) indirect 'in the know' revelation in the final scene. I think he is secretly thrilled with Jodha's undertaking.

We did have a screeching ruqaiya but not as much as she would have if jo was the accused. Jalal would have been amused at ruqaiya's instructions with the culprit sitting right in front of him.😆

It is a given that his brain is on full alert wrt jodha.
Why don't they give rajat/ jalal more of such scenes in which he looks and acts intelligently. It has been a long time since 😕

Oh! He looks like a Van Dyke portrait half the time. In fact on the thunderstorm night he was even better than any of them.😳

He better work out things parallel-y and not wait like a dumbo for his queen to save him😡

Delight???????? 🤢What was delightful about it except grineet jantu and galeez jaanwar? Jodha's brag on nibhaao-fying the marriage vachan was sheer amusement. What about the other 6 vachans? Only jodha can pull it through without batting an eyelid. The only thing that came out of it is ben's assertion of what is to come. That she is going to bite jo. How sick! And jodha's own declaration that she will come between jalal and ben.

Grineeth jantu also joins jodha's list of touch me nots along with jalal and other men of the palace.🤣

In fact I even thought that ben was going to the well to doobo herself in the precap unable to bear jo's bhashanbaazi that made a comeback after the shivaani fiasco. Jo's tongue was more dangerous than her own.

I would have forgiven Jodha all her follies, past, present and future, for that splendid addition to our lexicon of choice Jodhaisms, grhinit jantu! I was hysterical with laughter every time I rewound the recording and watched that bit once more. Oh, Lord, it has set me off again!

Whether there is logic or not heroines are always right. Ben will wait statue position till the duo are ready to follow.

Good. Smart of you not to completely trust the precap and promo.
But I so much wanted ben to go. She looks like a rhino more than a kt. What is khaas about a stocky pillar in begum libaas?😉

How come jodha talks about meera in past tense? Wasn't meerabai a contemporary of tulsidas tansen and akbar?

About the scene, where Ruquaiyya is yelling at the soldiers for Jalal's safety, I think Jalal was thinking about different ways of his wives saving his life, one is worried with the security lapse and other one has put herself into a trap to save him. it can be his thoughts too, when Ruq's was giving those "yelling" lessons

Nahiii... I don't want to have my hopes up to have them crashed again...
even the latest spoiler that confirms that Ben ends this week says that Jalal realizes his follies after Benazir and Jodha's worth in his life..
in fact, that he nearly confesses his feelings for Jodha after all this!

It was EXCELLENT...the fire/chemistry between the leads that had been missing...this scene was one such
'Kahin aapne tho nahin kiya na Jodha begum'
'Nahin bilkul bhi nahin Shehenshah'
😆

We saw a photo on her here, all dressed up in a Rajasthaani lehenga.

The actress is so pretty- Off-screen! 😆
