Jodha was an absolute gem. Not for her beauty ( though that is always a HUGE advantage!! 😉) but because of her intelligence, great warror skills & religious temperament. From what I've readd, she was shrewd & simple at the same time & was definitely the most important lady at Akbar's court. Akbar loved her dearly. That much to me (thanks to Abhay!) has now become absolutely clear.

She was LOVELY!

Tripti,

You might like this sketch as well, I believe it was done by Rembrandt (the famous Dutch painter)

The sketch show Akbar's undeniable mark in history, when a European artist (Rem.) made these without ever meeting or seeing him... Rem also made a sketch of Shah Jahan...

Here is the one with father and son... (Akbar and Salim)

Thanks, glad you liked them!😊 I'm a huge history buff and a devoted JA fan, so I spent some time digging up these pics online! These pics are evidence of Akbar's fame even in Rem. time, in the western world!

Akbar's height from what I have gathered from various sources was around 5'7.He was not fat but extremely well built, more like our hero Rajat.
The painting of the man looking down was of Akbar by his famous Painter Govardhan. Read this-

I believe you are correct the first pic is a painting by Govardhan, but the second is definitely a Rembrandt! Sorry for the confusion... will edit my post, and, thanks for letting me know!😉

@@@ MALIKA: Akbar was not short, he was average height and built. This is proven by the Jesuits that saw him

He was 5'5 say historians & of a very stocky build. Very simply dressed but ONE LOOK & you could see that he is the Emperor!!! 😳
