Ch2.

Two days passed away with Hakima Sahiba treating Jodha... Day by day,Jodha's condition was worsening.Hakima Sahiba was trying her best to cure Jodha...

On the other hand,Jalal and his ministers were leaving no stones unturned to find out who dared to attempt to kill the Begum of Shehansha-E-Hind...

Someday...

Jalal was in Deewan-e-Khaas with Atgah Sahab and his fellow ministers,discussing about the matter of whose plan it was to kill Jodha,when suddenly,a guard came and said,

''Shahenshah ka iqbal buland ho... Huzoor,khabar pakki hai ki jo hamla Mallika-E-Hindustan ke upar hui hai,woh khabar Abul Mali ne karwayi hai... Atgah Sahab ke kehne pe humne Mughal Sultanat ki ek wafadar khufia khabri ko Abul Mali ke sipahiyo ke fauj mein shariq hone ko kaha thha.. Uss khabri ne hi humein iqtala kiya iss khabr se...''

Everybody present in the court,was shocked after this revelation,especially Jalal... He was hell shocked that,how could his own brother-in-law do this...

''Gustakhi muaaf ho Huzur-e-Ala,par humein shaq thha ki yeh kaam Abul Mali ka hosakta hai,kyunki,unhe yeh bilkul gavara nahi tha ki aap ek Hindu Rajvanshi se nikaah karne wale thhe aur woh pehle se hi aapke upar hamla karne wale thhe... Tab tak,aapki aur Begum Sahiba ki nikaah hogayi thhi. Abul Mali ko laga ki aapko woh kabhi maar nahi payenge,isiliye,Jodha Begum ko shikar banaya... Isiliye,humne der na karte huye,humare ek wafadar khabri ko Abul Mali ke fauj mein shariq hone ki hukm di.. Ab humara shaq yaqeen mein badal gaya hai... Par,Huzoor,hairat ki baat yeh hai ki Abul Mali ko kisne bataya ki aapki nikaah Jodha Begum se honewali hai? Aapne toh humsab ko saqthi se ikhtala kardia thha ki yeh baat Abul Mali ke kaano tak nahi pohuchni chahiye,toh,phir yeh gustakhi kisne ki? Atgah Sahab said,after clarifying the reason behind sending a person to Abul Maali's soldier troupe.

''Aap nahi jante hai,Atgah Sahab,ki,aapne yeh khabar sunake mujhe bohut khushi di hai... Aapka dil se shukriya.. Aur rahi baat Abul Mali ke muamle ka,aap sab pata lagaiye ki Abul Maali tak humari aur Jodha Begum ki nikaah ki baat kisne pohuchayi hai? Uss gustaakh ki sar kalam karke rakhunga... Aur,humare fauj ko taiyaar rehne ko kahiye... Ab toh hum Abul Mali ko range haatho pakrenge... Hukum ki tameel ho..'' Jalal ordered everyone...

''Hum aapse vadaa karte hai,Begum Jodha,ki,hum aapko kuch hone nahi denge... Yeh aapke Shehanshah ka vadaa hai aapse...'' Jalal said to himself,in a determined voice.

Unaware to everyone,someone stood behind the curtains and heard everything...

In Jodha's chamber.

Hakima Sahiba was constinuously monitoring Jodha's condition,but there was no significant changes in her health. Every passing second was very important for everyone. Moti was continuously praying to Kanha to save her friend,Jodha.. She was continuosly reading the Maha Mrittyunjaya Jaap,while,Salima Begum and Hamida Bano were continuously praying to Allah,begging for Jodha's life...

A guard came and proclaimed, ''Ba-Adab,Ba-Mulaiza,Hoshiyaar.. Noor-e-Takht,Shehanshah-e-Hind,Jalaluddin Mohammad tashrief larahe hai...

As Jalal entered Jodha's chamber,everybody sood up and greeted him.Jalal also greeted them,half-heartedly. Jalal was feeling heartbroken,seeing his dearest wife in that half-lifeless state... He went to her side and sat down beside her..He held her hands and placed them over his heart... Tears formed in his eyes and fell down on Jodha's palm... He observed Jodha carefully.. The chirpy,bubbly and happy lady,that Jodha is,is now not there.. It was missing.. He was missing his Jodha a lot.. He announced to be left alone with his wife,for some moments,except his mother,Hamida Bano and Salima Begum and the Hakima Sahiba...

Hakima Sahiba excused herself of making some more medicines for Jodha,while Hamida Bano and Salima Begum excused themselves to bring their prayer mats,as they will pray for Jodha in Jodha's harem...
