Jalal was discussing about some political matters with his ministers in Diwaan-E-Khaas.He was in the middle of the discussion,when a royal guard came in a hurry inside the Diwaan-E-Khaas.
''Gustaakhi muaff ho,Huzoor.. Ek buri khabar hai...''
Everybody,including Jalal stood up in curiosity to know about the news.
''Saaf saaf batao,kya hua hai?'' Jalal asked,sternly.
''Woh.. Woh... Jodha Begum Sahiba ko...'' the guard stammered..
Jalal felt that something is wrong.His heart was beating in a very faster pace..He was feeling nervous and tensed.He was having a feeling since morning,that,something bad is going to happen.
Jalal couldn't control his curiosity and asked in high-pitched tome that echoed in the Diwaan-E-Khaas..
''Kya hua hai Jodha Begum ko?''
Before the royal guard could answer,a baandi from Jodha's harem came inside the Diwaan-E-Khaas,running very fast...
''Shehanshah ka iqbal buland ho... Jodha Begum Sahiba ko kisine teer mara hai... Teer seedhe unke seene pe lagi hai... Hakim Sahiba apne dawaiyon se Begum Jodha ko hosh mein laane ki koshish kar rahi hai,par,kuch asar nahi horaha hai...''
Jalal's sword fell from his hands.His face became blank..He staggered and was about to fall,when,Atgah Khan held him and made him stand. Atgah Khan ordered the guard and the baandi to go away and asked the other ministers to get the information about who was behind this conspiracy of killing his dearest wife.
''Atgah sahab,humein Jodha Begum ke paas janaa hai... Jodha ko kuch nahi hona chahiye...''
For the first time in his Life,tears fell from Jalal's eyes.His heart ached whenever he thought that he will have to see his dearest wife in this state. After crossing so many hurdles and overcoming many problems,Jodha and Jalal accepted their feelings they had for each other. They started living like a married couple.. Jalal was lost in his thoughts,when Atgah Khan shook Jalal and said, ''Huzoor,humein Begum Sahiba ke paas jana chahiye... Unhe apki saqt zarurat hai.. Aap Allah pe vishwas rakhiye aur dua kijiye sacce dil se Begum Sahiba keliye... In Sha Allah,Allah aapki dua ko qubool karenge... Ameen...''
''Ameen...'' Jalal said in a totally broken voice...
In Jodha's harem...
Hakim Sahiba,followed by other female Hakims,were continuously trying to wake up Jodha.. Javeda Begum,Salima Begum were continuously rubbing Jodha's hands',while,Hamida Bano sat near Jodha and stroked her forehead and pleaded her to come back... Other baandis' were running here and there to get medicinal pastes,which will be applied on Jodha's wounds.
Jalal entered Jodha's harem and everyone greeted him.. He was shocked to see his dearest wife in that wounded state.He was about to fall,but,gathered some strength and stood up,balancing himself. He quickly had a glance of his wife's wounded state and promised himself and her,that,he will surely get that person nabbed who hatched this conspiracy to kill Begum Jodha.He wiped his tears and went out with Atgah Khan and his other ministers and gave them orders to tighten up the security of the whole palace,which includes his room,his Mother's room,the Harems' and especially Jodha's harem. He also ordered Atgah Khan to deploy specially trained royal guards who will remain outside Jodha's harem for every single minute..
Atgah han and the other ministers' listened what Jalal said and dispersed to do their appointed tasks. Jalal,silently went to his room and slumped down on the nearest couch. He covered his face with his palms and prayed to Allah to cure his beloved wife,Begum Jodha.
