(for a moment...jalal was not able to believe his eyes...he took it as the worst ever nightmare of his life...but no it wasn't like that...he realized it...and fell on his knees beside jodha...as his own body had become too heavy to be stable...)

Jalal: - (shocked...whispered) jodha begum...

(he touched her face with his fingers...at first he considered it to be just a normal sun stroke or dizziness due to weakness as her hand was bleeding...he quickly opened the turban at her head and tied it tightly around her arm to prevent the blood loss...then rushed to get a glass of water...and sprinkled few drops of water on her face with his hand so that she could gain her consciousness...and she did too but not completely...she was in a semiconscious state...gulping the saliva up and down through her throat...finding it really hard to breath...her face and whole body was sweating badly...she whispered something in a very low voice...her state was capable enough to indicate that it was not that normal...jalal quickly held her hand and took her in his embrace with his one hand behind her ear and other around her shoulder...pulled her a little close to him...she was continuously blinking her eyes...though her vision was getting fade but yet she could see jalal...she whispered in a low voice..."shenshah..." jalal pulled her a little more closer...)

Jalal:-(in an angry yet teary voice) ab ye kaun sa naya tarika ijaad kiya hai aapne hume pareshan karne ka...hume esa mazak bilkul pasand nahi hai jodha begum...ab band kariye ye natak...uthiye...

(But till now her breathing had become really abnormal...that it became audible...this made jalal really worried...tears started emerging in his eyes...)

Jalal:- hum aapko esa bilkul nahi karne dege...kuch nahi hone dege hum aapko...suna aapne...itni aasani se humse picha nahi chura sakti aap...

(and with it he removed his hand from her neck to call someone for help...but became completely astonished seeing the blood strains at his hand...his eyes widened due to the shock...he moved jodha's head a little to find what is it?? and was completely shocked to see long and deep scratches on her neck that had torn her skin brutally...now he completely understood that there is something really very serious...the sight caused him to go insane...his mind stopped working for that moment...that was the first ever moment in his entire life when he had experienced the emotion called "fear".....fear of losing someone really special in his life...he squeezed jodha completely in his arms...shook her really hard...his voice began to tremble in fear... )

Jalal:-(holding jodha with tears in his eyes) jodha begum...ye...ye sab...kya...kaise...aap chinta mat kijiye hum aapko kuch nahi hone dege...bas apni aankhen khuli rakhiyega...aapko khuda ka vasta... aankhen band mat hone dijiyega...

(And with it he lifted her up in his arms...and started moving out from there...continuously murmuring to her meanwhile not to close her eyes and try to be conscious ...jodha was still in some conscious...she was holding his kurta lightly...was continuously trying to say something to him...but as jalal was all lost in his trauma...her voice was too weak to be listened...finally she clutched his kurta a little tight that drew jalal's attention this time...he looked at jodha ...he stopped and moved his head towards her a little...)

Jodha:-(in a very weak voice...almost whisper) shenshah...shenshah...hum...hum apse kuch kehna chahte hai...

Jalal:- jodha begum aap baat mat kariye...aapki taklif aur badh jayegi...aap...

(jodha gathered her whole strength and clutched his kurta really tight this time...)

Jodha:- nahi...hume keh lene dijiye...pata nahi dobara ye kehne ka avsar milega ya nahi...shenshah...hum apka bahut aadar karte hai...humne kabhi aapka apmaan nahi karna chaha...humara vishwass...vishwaas kijiye...hum...(her voice started shaking...as she was losing her consciousness...) humne kuch nahi kiya...shenshah......(she started breathing really very hard...)...shenshah....(and finally she lost her grip at his kurta and became completely unconscious and sprang down in his arms...this worked as an electric shock for jalal...he almost screamed in a very loud voice)

Jalal:- jodha begum...nahiii...aankhen kholiye...

(and with it he almost started running towards hakima sahiba's room like mad with jodha in his arms...completely pale...her head and hands tilting downwards...jalal shaking her meanwhile all panicking...by now jalal's loud scream had aware the surroundings...and as he came out of the room...all baandhis of jodha began to follow him...Rukkaiya was all busy in chatting with hoshiyaar...when her eyes caught jodha and jalal...and there state was enough to inform about the accident...she rushed to them leaving her hukka behind...she reached near jalal and started moving with him...but jalal dint pay any attention on her...he was busy in jodha...talking with her continuously ...asking her to open her eyes... )

Ruqqaiya:-(shocked) ya khuda...jalal...ye kya hua inhe...jalal...(she put her hand on his shoulder but he was all furious...he looked at her frustrated for a moment...)

Jalal:- hume nahi malum ruqqaiya....( then again his eyes shifted to jodha...)...jodha begum...

Ruqqaiya:- lekin aap inhe lekar kahan jaa rahe hai jalal...inhe apne hojre me lekar jayiye...hum abhi khwaja shera ko bhijwate hai...

Jalal:-(looked at her with utmost disgust)...waqt nahi hai kisi ko bulane ka humare paas ruqqaiya...tumhe dikhayi nahi deta kya...inki halat kitni kharab hai...hatiye humare raste se...

(ruqqaiya was all surprised at jalal's reply and his state...his eyes were almost red filled with tears...she never saw jalal that much worried for anyone...even at the time of her miscarriage...but still she followed him and finally they reached to hakima sahiba's room...jalal put jodha down on the couch in the middle of the room...hakima sahiba was busy is making some medicine but as soon as her eyes caught jalal entering the room ...she rushed to them...)

Hakima:- ya allah...ye kya hua begum sahiba ko...

Jalal:- ( holding jodha's hand)...hakima sahiba...jaldi se dekhiye...hume bahut dar lag raha hai...jodha begum...(he patted her cheek...)

(hakima quickly sat down beside jodha and started checking her nerves that were almost nil...she touched her forehead with the back of her hand...ruqqaiya watching all this standing at the corner of the room...)

Hakima:- ya khuda...inka jism to bilkul thanda pad chukka hai shenshah...hume thik se jaanch karni hogi...ese kuch bhi bata paana mushkil hai...(now she looked at Ruqqaiya...)...Ruqqaiya begum...aap zara shenshah ko bahar lekar jayiye...taki hum jodha begum ki makul tarike se jaanch kar sake...

(Ruqqaiya moved towards jalal and put her hand his shoulder...but jalal was all lost in jodha...holding her hand)

Ruqqaiya:- chaliye jalal...bahar chaliye...hakima sahiba ko unka kaam karne dijiye...

Jalal:-(still holding jodha's hand) nahi...hum kahin nahi jayege...dekho na ruqqaiya...inki tabiyat kitni kharab hai...esi halat me hum inhe akela chorker kaise jaa sakte hai...hum nahi jayege...

Ruqqaiya:-(applying all her strength to pull jalal up...and finally succeed in doing that) agar aap yaha rahege to hakima sahiba kaise jaanchegi jodha begum ko...aap fikr mat kariye kuch nahi hoga unhe...hakima sahiba hai na unhe dekhne ke liye....(now she made him look in her eyes...) agar aap bahar nahi jayege to inka ilaj shuru nahi ho payega jalal...aaiye chaliye humare sath...

(finally jalal agreed to leave the room...ruqqaiya held his arm and dragged him out of the room after much difficulty...meanwhile jalal keep on looking at jodha until he was completely out from there...both of them came out...ruqqaiya left his hand...he faced away and looked at the baandhi's and busted out on them...)

Jalal:- tum sab ko kisliye rakha gaya hai yahan...haan?? Itna sab kuch ho gaya jodha begum ke sath...aur tum sab...koi unke sath kyu nahi tha...kyu akela chora tumne unhe??

Bandhi:- (with her head down) hum kya karte shenshan...begum sahiba ka aadesh tha...wo ekanth chahti thi...hum to bus unke aadesh ka palan kar rahe the...

(Till now the news had spread almost in the whole palace...listening about jodha's position...hamida, salima and moti came there running...all devastated... hamida directly headed to jalal and dragged him by arm to make him look at her...)

Hamida:-(crying profusely) jalal...kya hua hai jodha ko?? Ye sab kaise ho gaya...boliye jalal...jawab dijiye... (She shook him hard...jalal looked at her with a sad face...)

Jalal:- (in extremely soft and teary voice) hum nahi jante ammi jaan...hum...hum unke hojre me unse milne gaye the...jaise hi humne unhe chune ki koshish ki ...wo farsh per gir padi...hume kuch samajh nahi aaya ammi jaan...kuch samajh...(he was speaking it all confused...when his eyes caught moti...and his painful expression turned into extreme anger...he looked at her with utmost disgust and busted out loud in rage )

Jalal:-(sarcastically with disgust) tum...tum yaha kya kar rahi ho...ab kya karne aayi ho yaha...jab jodha begum ko zarurat thi tumhari tab kaha thi tum...haan??

Moti:- shenshah...hum...hum to devi maa ke mandir gaye the...kya...kya hua hai jodha ko??

Jalal:- ye to tumhe malum hona chahiye na...humse kyu puch rahi ho...khud ko jodha begum ka dost kehti ho na tum...aamer se yaha sirf unke liye aayi thi na tum...unki hifazat ke liye...fir unhe yaha akela chorker bahar jane ki himmat kaise hui tumhari...agar tum unke sath hoti to shayad aaj unki esi halat na hoti...jao yahan se...

Moti:-(crying bitterly)...kintu...hume unse milna hai shenshah...

Jalal:- nahi mil salti tum unse...tumhe koi haq nahi hai unse milne ka...tumne suna nahi humne kya kaha...dafa ho jao yaha se...

(Till now moti was weeping but she wiped off her tears at once...and looked at jalal with surprise...)

Moti:- aaj adhikaar ki baat kar rahe hai aap shenshah...kintu kadachit aap bhul rahe hai... aapne bhi jodha ko kam kasht nahi pahuchaya hai...

(Everyone there was shocked at moti's reply...Ruqqaiya came forward all furious...)

Ruqqaiya:- badtameez...tumhe ilm bhi hai ke tum kisse mukhatib ho...tumhari itni zurrat...

Moti:- (sternly)...shama kijiyega ruqqaiya begum...hum jante hai ke is mehel me humara sthan matra ek daasi ka hai...aur hume uncha bolna shobha nahi deta...kintu aaj jis tarah shenshah jodha per adhikaar ki baat kar rahe hai...use sunker hum swayam ko rok nahi sake...(now looking at jalal)...pati hai na aap jodha ke...us per pura adhikaar hai aapka... mante hai hum ...kintu ye adhikaar us din kaha tha jab aapne jodha ke sthaan per ek baandhi ko apne nikat baithaya tha...aaj sahsa aapko bahut chinta hone lagi jodha ki...tab kaha thi ye chinta jab bhari sabha me ek rajvanshi rajkumari ka apmaan kiya tha aapne...jis stri ke liye uska samman...uska swabhiman sabse bhadker tha...aapne usi aatmsamman(self pride) per baar baar lagatar aaghat kiya shenshah...kabhi bhare darbaar me to kabhi praja ke samne...to kabhi us daasi Benazir ke samne...barambaar apmanit kiya aapne unhe...aapne nahi dekha shenshah ...kintu humne dekha hai ...humne dekha hai aapni sakhi ko har shan tadpte hue...chup chup kar rote hue...tutker bikharte hue...uski dard bhari siskiya humne suni hai aapne nahi...shama kijiyega shenshah...kintu yadi hum doshi hai to aap bhi doshi hai...aap bhi jodha ke is haal me hone ke barabar zimmedar hai shenshah...aur yadi hum galat keh rahe hai...yadi humari baato me zara sa bhi khot hai...to uthayiye apni talwar aur gala kaat dijiye humara...kinchit matra bhi afsos nahi hoga hume... parantu jo satya hai wo kehne se hume koi nahi rok sakta...

(jalal was all shocked...flabbergasted...tears flowed down his eyes...moti's words caused his head to go down...he bowed his head down...gazing at the ground...he closed his eyes due to immense shame...as moti's words did had a lot of truth in them...meanwhile moti headed towards the room to meet jodha...but all soldiers obstruct her way and put their swords on her neck for talking in such high tone with their shenshah...jalal immediately stopped them...)

Jalal:- (raising his hand...still looking down) jane do inhe...

(They moved aside from her way and moti got in...jalal was feeling ashamed of himself...the feeling of hurting jodha so much...the feeling of humiliating her so much without any solid proof...it was really painful for him...he determined something in his mind and wiped off his tears...it was enough for jalal...he was not able to handle this feeling of being guilty anymore...he had to find out the truth anyhow...he turned with a jerk and moved out from there...headed straight towards maham's room...)

(on the other hand maham was relaxing in her room completely unaware of what is happening in the palace and the storm coming towards her...and was busy chatting with her soul mate Resham...when suddenly there was an announcement...)

"BA ADAB BA MULAYEZA HOSHIYAAR...SHENSHAH E HIND JALLALUDDIN MUHAMMAD TASHRIF LAA RAHE HAI..."

(She quickly got up from the couch...jalal entered the room all furious..."taqliya and resham moved out of the room..."..maham was clueless about his sudden appearance...)

Maham:- assalam walekum jalal...aap is waqt yaha...sab khairiyat ...

Jalal:- (without answering her greeting...directly came to the point) wo khat kahan hai badi ammi??

Maham:-(amazed) khat...kaun sa khat jalal...kis khat ki baat ker rahe hai aap...

Jalal:- (sternly) wohi khat jo jodha begum ne likha tha hume...jo aapne hume humare hojre me padhker sunaya tha us din...kaha hai wo...

Maham:-(all shocked) achanak...wo khat kyu chahiye aapko jalal...baat kya hai??

Jalal:- ye humare sawal ka jawab nahi hua badi ammi...hum jo puch rahe hai uska jawab dijiye...kaha hai wo paigam??

Maham:- gustakhi maaf jalal...magar shayad aap bhul rahe hai...aapne khud us khat ko apne hatho se phadker pheka tha...ab uske baad us khat ka kya hua...wo kahan gaya...hume nahi malum ...

Jalal:- hum kuch nahi jante badi ammi...hume har kimat per wo khat chahiye...aap abhi sare sainiko ko bulaker hukm dijiye...ke us khat ko pure mehel me dhunde...har halat me aaj sham tak wo khat humare hath me hona chahiye...

Maham:- gustaakhi ke liye maafi chahege jalal...magar kya hum jan sakte hai ke achanak us khat ke liye itne beasabar kyu ho rahe hai aap...kahin esa to nahi...ke aap hum per shaq karne lage hai...galat samjh rahe hai hume...

Jalal:- baat galat ya sahi ki nahi hai badi ammi...baat insaaf ki hai...jo ehsaas humare sine me is waqt hum mehsus ker rahe hai...aap uska andaza bhi nahi laga sakti hai...humara jina mushkil kar rha hai ye ehsaas...aur waise bhi agar aap sahi hai to phir aapko darne ki kya zarurat hai...hum bus sabki aur apni tassali ke liye us khat ko dobara padhna chahte hai...isme shaq wali koi baat nahi hai...hukm ki tamil ho...khuda hafiz...

(And jalal left from there without looking back...leaving maham all shocked and flabbergasted...)
