During Ajmer Sharif track the soul talk informed us that was a beginning of their journey of love and it was 3 months before this was aired but till date we have not yet seen the first step of that journey but in the process we have endured all the 'ghrina' dialogues and its sequences, Jalal being called a 'pashu' by his dear begum, he was almost killed because of her, then Jodha showed pity to him in Amer for being lonely and a ruler of the nation and then back in Agra all that fake pregnancy fiasco followed by celebration of their birthdays and Tasneem track but no sign of that 'Love' blossoming.
I wanted a royal ignoring from Jalal's end towards Jodha so that she will realize how does it feel to taste a dose of her own medicine but this is a Balaji show and even if what we want we are getting they will do it in such a way that Jalal will look obnoxious and in the end Jodha will be the one who will be glorified and Jalal will repent and apologize to her. The heroine can't go wrong but the male protagonist are always at fault and are guilty. And to top it all it will be Jodha who will be saving Jalal from Benazir's intentions I am sure for which Jalal will be singing endless praise of Jodha and will be eternally grateful. It is a Balaji show after all.

I should thank the CV's for small mercies I guess, at least Jalal is not panting with lustful eyes on Benazir neither is he genuinely interested in her. I was dreading that will be the final nail in the coffin.
I simply am bewildered to think how can the CV's literally butcher and ridicule a historical figure like Akbar just for the sake of drama and TRP. It is slowly taking the route of their usual saas-bahu sagas.

CV's you all have invested I am sure thousands on creating Benazir but my only complain about her is she has the same facial expression in every scene with no conviction or feeling. She has a deadpan expression whether she is trying to look seductive or being sarcastic or trying to be plotting or scheming! A little twitching of muscles is required when one is delivering a dialogue or else it falls flat like we saw every time Benazir opened her mouth. Did you all pay her just for her catwalk parading in front of every one in that semi clad costume?

And Akbar is nothing but a drum to you guys CV's, jo bhi aata hai bajake jaata jai! Is he an emperor at all? First it was Maan Singh who stood up against him and he was awarded by being in Jalal's court, then Jodha is there 24/7 who is always 'taana maroing' Jalal and he is happily taking it and now Tansen who came and showed his talent in being rude rather than portraying his musical skill! CV's you all spend so much money on Benazir, why couldn't you spend a little on a singer who could have been the voice of Tansen? There are so many talents in the reality shows nowadays, why couldn't you hire one of them who has a presence of voice with a classical background? Ek hi gaana gaya Tansen sab jashn mein?!! Really? And he was more competent in being smug, rude and impertinent to Jalal rather than showcasing his talent.

We can thus expect and guess that any of the nine gems that will be introduced henceforth will be equally uncivil and brash to Jalal to be noticed and accepted by him. 😕

As usual a lovely post which reciprocated most of my feelings. 👏 Thank you.

Nandini, what do you expect me to say to that? I am far too old to blush convincingly, and even if I could, you could not see me! So I will simply say that I am flattered and grateful.

U knw Shyamala, I am realising that the women in the audience will never be able to accept that a man can be right and a woman can be wrong in a Hindi serial specifically when they happen to be the protagonists.
For most, the male protagonist - the poor hero - is always wrong and needs to be reformed by the holier than thou heroin - Meri Bharatiya Naari Mahan - All in the name of feminism!!!

I am extremely srry if I am offending ppl here- But I too happen to be woman - a total feminist - but I do think that I am capable of seeing the flaws of women and the good points of men and do not feel that all men need to be reformed - Hell if some half baked woman ever tells me my son needed reforming I would be insulted that I did not raise him right!!! (whenever that happens that is😉😆)

I really wish we could all rise above this Man - Woman - gender issue and look at ppl as individuals - That is the only way we will ever be able to get out of the Gender rut that we have got ourselves into.

For me - Both TE and his Ameri Mirchi are 2 individuals - and the one who is giving me maximum delight as of now is TE - I am waiting to be delighted by his Ameri Mirchi still.

As for love - I will quote one of my favorites, Paulo Coelho here - The strongest love is the love that can demonstrate its fragility - and we all knw where this fits currently!!!

Abhi, Benazir might well be, as I had noted, an Abu Mali mole, but if Jalal had totally ignored her, how could she have harmed him in any way? Which is what he would have done if there had not been this falling out with Jodha.

I do not think KT (khaas tohfa) is foolish enough to dream of attaining the status of a begum. Even if Jalal fell for her, she would normally end up as a concubine stuck in Room no.1001 in the harem. She is shrewd and perceptive and she knows that he does not care a hoot for her.

So I do not feel that she has such ambitions. She is trying for something else, I do not know what that maqsad might be.

She cannot be compared with a purani khiladi like MA, who has a hitherto unshakaeable hold on Jalal for well known reasons.

Shyamala Good post.. The episode is OK watchable. Benazir character looks different from other vamps.

I think Benazir came to kill jalaal, but when he gave her to sit beside him, she now wants Begum power. She now wants power. Just like Lashy I too think she is dangerous like MA.

Hope CVS won't drag this track like Ruqlal divorce track. Now a days they are not even showing Agdha Khan also.

The show needs desperately supportive male characters. CVS should also change the tracks from harem politics one after another. No consistency in character wise also.

Adiana, I could not agree with you more. Do see my overlong response above to the charmingly, if intriguingly named PadBear. You will enjoy it.

And your aphorism from Paul Coelho is both perceptive and very wise. I wrote once, quoting a source I can no longer remember, that when love comes, it is mostly not cock a hoop with fine feathers, but slowly, dragging itself on bleeding feet.

Tripti my sweet, every post takes me 3 hours to type and edit, and 6 hours or more to respond to all the comments, when I can manage it. When I can't, I feel guilty. So I cannot possibly post on each episode; I would expire of fatigue!
