we can't connect with it because it is self possessed. she hasn't once acknowledged that he is changed AFTER THAT NIGHT. jodha is as fickle minded as they come so she is harping on Benazir. She doesn't get it she hurt him so he is distant and is hurting her back. She is only seeing her humiliation in all this she doesn't see the other side of the coin, which is not shocking considering her character so far. We would have been empathetic of Jodha if she let out her frustration in such a way acknoweledging that she didn't meant to hurt him that night but now he is hurting her intentionally and how she was going to make him understand that. But it is daasi this daasi that all the time and she is dense enough to think she came in between her relationship with her husband when it is her who is standing in the way. Jalal is not going to forget and forgive that night, but Jodha is pretending right now it never happened because it is convenient for her to shift the blame on to that daasi, oh jodha wake up smell and drink some strong brazilian coffee.

Even I will quit if this becomes a MB rehash!!! I am waiting to see something that goes against the norms of the regular soaps and I am putting my faith in the universe my favorite Ms. Kayanat that she will keep my faith!!! As they say Hope is Wishing, Trust is Believing but Faith is Knowing!!!

But this is what is happening in the last few tracks with Jo getting credits, appreciations, gratitudes and praises without actually earning them and others putting up the efforts for her, and also feeling sorry for her while she has no scruples about her behaviour. Hence the notion of that disgusting prospect.

I think my disgust with the character of this Jodha is too evident. But I keep hoping track after track that she would transform into an empathetic, understanding, dignified and perceptive queen. But no , it never comes. She is delighted to be the 'plain cuckoo' she is. So is everyone around her. She seems no match to the deep-thinking and deep-feeling Jalal. The epic love story seems simply off-balance. But when the emperor doesn't complain, why should I?

I do sincerely hope that the show doesn't fall to the M&B or the regular soaps medicore category.

Well,Sandhya, let us all keep our fingers crossed, for I do not want to abandon Jodha Akbar any more than you do!

No, I have not written any book,as my really interesting stories are not of the kind that can be published, keeping in mind international sensitivities. But if you will PM me your e-mail id, I will send you the speech I made at that 2004 Chennai conference where that photo was taken. It was about being a woman diplomat and there is some interesting stuff there. It got a good response from the audience of women managers, perhaps also because I do not read anything out, even for a 45 minute address like this one, but speak directly to my listeners, without any text, creating the illusion of a one on one session. The text was written afterwards, from memory.
