See jalal does not know that jodha did not write him love letter. As per him jodha called him to her writing a love letter hence he is there. So when she reject him it is a big insult only. There were better ways of saying "No" and clearing misunderstanding that is what i say.
She never helped him get up too. No matter how much you dislike an human if even stranger falls you help them because that is humanity. that would have made jalal anger reduce. that also not happened.
yes he was angry and wild. imagine in 21st century if your family member is angry and wild at us what we do irrespective of if they hurt you you will run to them to help them if they are hurt/fallen.

What will she make him understand when he was in no mood to listen rather just wanted to remove her gown? She tried later on but Jalal was in so much nasha & anger that he went out.

I am just posting what Vicky wrote in her post...and I just love it...👏

The man 'insulted' in his wife's chambers was a husband. Not a 'Shahenshah'. Its not right to weigh everything in honour and prestige and titles. Everything goes away - the person that you are on the inside remains.

Many people say the story is a myth - so not sure
But there is some anarkali grave and tomb in lahore built by jehangir after akbar's death
But neither akbarnama nor jehangirnama tells of this. But some travellers have accounted of such a story which was common knowledge among people at that time.
There are some clues too in akbarnama
One salim went to servant quarters once and akbar ordered him to be hit by gaurds and himself took his sword to kill the intruder in harem but stopped once he realized its salim. Now soldiers would have seen salim enter the servant quarters surely so why they hit him and why akbar ordered to hit him? mystery
Second salim is missing in akbarnama from adulthood. Third salim spent time in afghanistan away from family not on official trip. Salim also spent time in rajasthan fort when he should have been actually carrying out duties as prince. So he may have been banished by akbar for his affair with anarkali or whoever.
So may be there was some truth in him having some affair with a commoner which akbar may have not liked. But its never recorded by the mughals

Does he really have nothing else to do ? They are portraying him in such a poor fashion. He is so enamored by one letter that he loses all focus. Wth . How does any mom esp in the 16th century talk about that with an emperor ? And the emperor is blushing at the thought of that. I'm so not happy with these episodes .he has to tell ma to stop worrying about his bedroom life. Yuck !! He has to be uncomfortable discussing that . Even today most men will not talk about that. Ek can write a book on how to strip an emperor of all dignity .

This track and the underlying implications are awful. The character of jalal is completely destroyed and I don't want to think of how insulting this us to Akbar . Please restore the alpha male.

Yes very good. I also wanted to tell this.
In 16th century a mother is speaking about love to a son and son is listening 😕😲
unbelievable even in 21st century
i can understand father-son may be talking but not all this to such details

The real Akbar would have chopped his head off right at that instant, great musician or not. You can see mughal portraits of Akbar on the throne and not one person is seen standing in front of him.
Everyone is on their knees.

yes, in those times even crown prince like salim and khurram would not sit in front of emperor

Its fine if this was one time insult but repeated insult from a person many times without reason is wrong is what i am saying
and the way it was done whether emperor or beggar was agian wrong
this track itself is wrong acc to me
Regarding shahenshah, some positions are held in more respects like President, PM, emperor, religious head etc. They have to be respected even in private. We are not respecting jalal the human we are respecting the post of emperor.

Agree with u on this. The track is wrong. I hate this "heartbroken Jallu & cheap benazir" track. There could have been many other ways to make JoJa realize their love for each-other.

Felt so bad for jalaal today. jodha should have handled the whole matter maturely. she pushed jalaal and again insulted him.

Jodha DID NOT push him in the first place...in fact today we got to see a new Jodha...she was quite generous today ! she took his hands in her's..let him touch her even place his head on her's !! she allowed him this much !! it was only when he was making advances and tried to remove her dupatta she stepped back and tried to get his hands off...as Jalal was drunk that minor push made him fall on the ground !
immediately Jodha tried to help him getting up..but Jalal refused ! he showed his hands to her..and Jodha stepped back..

its only MA whom to be blamed and cursed..neither of JJ r at fault ! both r misled and misinformed...
if Jalal doesn't know about the letter then Jodha also doesn't know what MA did ! the very next morning she was going to Jalal's chamber to apologize for her behavior until MA stopped and misled her too !

this time we didn't see Jodha's ghrina but her concern...

The kind of ideas mentioned in this post about how women should behave, carry themselves etc. are absurd. Jalal's sulatante was run by a woman with no royal affliations whatsoever. A mere commoner who held the such a high post. Jallu tolerated her son's misdeeds just because he was her son.

His mother (again a commoner) played a big role in matters of state. The famous 'petticoat' government was handled by these two. His aunt Gulbadan was responsible for writing the Humayunama. There must be many more examples of such powerful women in Akbar's household. They didn't behave like doormats, then why should Jodha?

Jodha is not a commoner, she is a high-born/royal lady who is exceptionally educated and talented. And just like in today's age, women in high power or born in powerful households are not governed by so-called ideals of how women should 'behave', neither were such women in 16th century.

Coming back to the serial, Jodha behaved in the most dignified manner possible in such situation. She had no issue touching him, it was only when he touched her gown that she tried to push him away. And he was so DRUNK that he fell on the ground. Jodha tried to help him up but he refused her help. A re-look at that scene will surely help. She didn't shout at him or give a bhashaan and only stated her point gracefully.
