girls are sold even today in 21st century by parents and near ones atleast in asian countries and africa

so that was 15th century what is so surprising?

indeed i am shocked that in 15th century parents can so easily agree to bargain their daughter for money

15th century was more of sat yug than today's kalyug so i am shocked such thing can happen those times where respect came first above life

Yeah. It's still common in rural India.

But people have to understand that it's not about being a bad mother/person. They have to put themselves in their shoes before judging. It's a conglomeration of things that leads to this. Ignorance, poverty, inequality, desperation, fear, tradition, protection. When you have nothing ANYTHING would be better. They probably do it thinking it's for the best. It's a vicious circle, it's way deeper than just being a bad mother.

And if it that's now, imagine back then.
