I think instead of just catching up with a few back episodes it would be really worthwhile for you to catch up on all the episodes so far even if it takes time. The story will be richer for you if you do. Zee themselves have provided a Youtube page where you can access all episodes right from the beginning. Its here:
And Salima by the way is the third wife of Jalal and Rahim is her little son. Salima was married to bairam Khna, Jalal's mentor and father figure, but after Bairam's death, in order to give protection to his wife and son, Jalal married Salima.

oh thanks a ton dear...so Rahim is Bairam's son ...will catch up with the earlier episodes. thanks for the link

I loved your analysis of the epi. The epi in itself was phenomenal in terms of story and character development. The walls that both of them have built around themselves are slowly collapsing and both of them are in the process of re-configuring what they mean to each other and what they thought they wanted out of their life and what they really want from life.
In this whirlwind of the journey of love, they have drawn in all the people around them as well. Jalal who time and again reaffirms that he has no heart but is touched to the core by pure and simple love of thousands of his subjects. A happy and proud mother who cannot contain her joy at the sight of her son who has become the darling of the masses and has made his dead father proud with his constructive and positive actions.

A rebirth of begum Jodha who has burried her ghrina for him once for all and goes to great lengths in order to give him the most meaningful gift on his birthday and make him the happiest person on earth. A husband and wife who complete each other. All the hatred and misunderstandings they had for each other are gone. Just two beautiful souls waiting to rediscover each other and find their own true selves remained. The friend in Jalal who politely but firmly makes Ruqu understand that he is not anybody's prized possession but an individual with his own priorities, likes and dislikes.

The lesser said about Adham Khan's unsavory heart and animal instincts while discussing this beautiful episode the better.

Jalal's relationship with Ruku is standing on wrong footing...Since the begining I have not liked the way he has often praised her...His words are" Apke muqabale khade hone ka taab kisi mein nagi hai"...meaning if some one else have the capacity to beat Ruku , then that person will take her place...in this case it is Jodha...There are many many instances where I have found Jalal insensitive...be it with Ruku or his mom...MA is the only person who has not been at the receiving end of his insenstivity...
On the other hand Ruku is no less insensitive... Their relationship or friendship or companionship has less of caring on deeper level and more of enjoyment of each other's company...

Ela, that is a very very insightful thing you have written here. You know what, I think Jalal looks like that because basically he has lost some respect for these people. Its a very subtle sign but its is a sign of disrespect in a way if you do not care about hurting some people.
The relationship with Ruq is that of friendship on the outside, but the inside is slightly eroded now and that respect factor is being eaten up! Its like a shell of a relationship that used to be there in younger years!

Ah what a grand post from you @skanda12. I'm a bit new to this show. About 5 episodes old I am. So the forum is helping me get up to speed.

Isn't Jalal already a magnificent character! As you said, between morning and evening he has grown as a man! Always open minded, always learning. Inspiring!
