I Feel very sorry that I missed to read this post long back.

One fact that am aghast is ... From November till now, the CVs have hardly made much progress anyway...

Looking forward to more such post from you. It's just unbelievable that this is your first post. Plz continue.👏

Viji

Thanks Viji...I enjoy studying historical characters and then doing detailed psychoanalysis. This was my first attempt at trying to understand a tv show character . Abhay is the one who throws light on the real HK. I made a post trying to understand Jalal's current state of mind on Mansi's thread ' we wait one more day for the storm' and several on Rukaiya on MandyG's thread ' should Rukaiya be given second chance'...read page 14 and 29...if you enjoyed reading this one, you'll probably like the other two as well.
Thanks again

Fantabulous analysis 👏...please do pm me as well when u make your next analysis...very interesting read indeed...
Just my 2 cents...I agree with most of your points. Of course, your post is almost 4 months old...my only problem with Jodha's characterization is the egoistic streak in her...it may have begun as a defence mechanism, but now it is being stretched too much, & I often feel, that since the Ben incident, she has begun to take the Emperor for granted ...
...example: her approaching Jalal to vote for Ruqs - she took it for granted that he would otherwise vote for her(Jodha)

...looking forward to your next analysis...😛

The fundamental attribution error comes to mind - when it comes to explaining why others act the way they do, we often chalk it up to some inherent character flaw but when it comes to explaining our own actions, we blame the situation or environment. Hey, we're only human! 😆

thanks Jaz
The fundamental attribution error...apt comment in this case.
And yes, we are only human...and so was she😃

And one can understand how difficult it is to a woman whose family goes through hell infront of her eyes and she is forcefully married... To a guy who lusts her... And wants her physically... Yes her thought process is simply perfect from her point of view... And described it very well loved it... 👏

Thanks for your comments Nikki.
She managed to win hearts and make a place for herself in an environment which was extremely hostile in the begining...courageous woman.

Cleo what super fabulous post. It is so old, I was wondering how come this post has so many pages when I had not read it and so checked the date! If you have made other such posts please PM me the links.

The best thing is it still applies. Jalal has fallen in love and Jodha also I think, though maybe she is yet to realize it.

At first I was only a Jodha fan and I certainly did not care much for the love story. I so loved this proud fiery Rajvanshi princess who was so fearless that she dared to give hell to Jalal. She never took a step back and never hesitated to speak her mind.

How wonderfully you have written about Jodha. I loved the tiger track analysis.

What you have written about the intimacy part, the why she is not letting him come near her. It makes me wonder about her, would she let him if she learns he loves her? Or would she let him if she learns she loves him? Or it has to be both for her to accept him.

Jodha made him change by not asking him to change, not expecting anything from him but just by being herself. What Jalal saw in her made him want to change so that he can be somebody Jodha would want, would approve of. I remember the Amer track, she asked him why he cared what she or her people thought of her, and he replied I don't know why but I do. How much I loved the mannat he completed for her.

Such a life she led, even in this century it would be unheard of. She had to marry the person she most despised, who defeated her country, who was cruel and arrogant. Who belonged to different religion, Her guts in putting conditions to him for marriage, she had to actually go and stay amongst the people she naturally thought of as enemies and still she blossomed and earned so much respect and love from him.

No wonder she still fascinates us 450 years later.

Thanks Cleo for such wonderful in-depth analysis. I loved to read, please share your old posts.

Thank you sweetie pie...love your comments.
Good question about the intimacy part...hmm...let me think! I'll certainly include it in my next analysis.
I rarely make my own threads. Just write my comments on any interesting thread. Will dig up some old posts and send you a PM.
