Thank you, Veenisha. I have got so tired of this virtual baby track, and so put off by this obsession with blue vomit that I feel quite sick myself. I have thus not felt like writing anything about the last 4 episodes.

is it just me who thought today was really boring?
seriously..blue vomit? W*F^#@^%#!!!!! Is this really a show about one of the greatest emperors?

I will just make one comment. The lack of character development in Jodha as contrasted with Jalal was so apparent in the scene where he comes to return the ring...All we got from her was rinse repeat dialogues while Jalal was making so much sense. In spite of everything that Salima told her there was no controlled hostility from her. Just same old lines. And why does he have to remind her who gave her the ring? Can she really throw away important things given to her by her beloved saas with so much sentimental value so easily?😲

The one line that had me ROFLing...he is thinking 'kash kash mein aapko tell you everything" and she is thinking 'zaroor koi chal"...how how how Jodha begum? Salima just explained everything to you!! *head desk*

well at least we can be glad that she thinks the shehensha is always plotting and is two steps ahead of her.😉

And why do the CVs do this to her? Did she really say "how can two people be right?" to Salima begum? Is this a girl who has grown up listening to Indian mythology that is full of such circumstances starting with Ramayan and Mahabharat? *head desk*

The CVs really need to work on her, it seems wrong that while Jalal is racing ahead Jodha is left behind with inane dialogues. A lot of us have reached the point where we are wondering what the hero sees in the heroine. That is not good for a romantic story line.

I hope I'm not the only one but I'm so annoyed that Jalal is back to hovering around her. Really???? Are you not hurt at all? Get a life man lest she swat you away like an annoying fly!!🤢 I am hurt for you and your feelings and for how misunderstood you are.😒 Go lick your wounds !!

I'm fast losing interest in this show.

I lost interest after the tiger incident when Jodha Begum took out the bullets from Jalal's rifle. I only watch it now and then to see how low the characters can go and what silly tracks will come up. However low my expectations are, the writers manage to go even lower. Amazing.

I finally saw the blue vomit episode - at the end, Jalal said he was doing all that I did it, I didn't do it, I did it... flip flops to protect Jodha Begum.

Note to Jalal: Stop being a masochist to Jodha's sadistic treatment. She's not worthy of you.

Hahaaa ariel love your bang your head moments, that is what this episode should be called. The whole episode was ridiculous thank god saving grace was salima begum. Less said about jodha the better. Salima in action really a true friend and guide, jalal should give her begum e khaas title she deserves it more than ruqaiya. Can we ever imagine jodha to have such calm and poise to match salima one thinks not. Jalal should dump the rest of the useless lot and resort to salima for advice and friendship. I know this is a jodha akbar story so hoping for a salima jalal is not happening but I have to say they are a perfect example of how all successful marriages are not based on love. Salima and jalal will have a great relationship and marriage based on mutual understanding and respect. Jalal relationship with ruqu and jodha will always be rough seas because they are volatile but salima will be the ore that steadies the ship.

Well, my dear soulmates,

I was bemused, over the last 2-3 episodes, to see that the fate of the Mughal empire was dependent on the precise colour of Jodha Begum's digestive excretions.😉

The one thing that the CVs forgot to specify was: Which blue? Sky blue, midnight blue, cerulean blue, new blue? One does not know, and meanwhile, thank your stars they forbore from presenting us with the grisly evidence, ugh...!

As for Jalal and Jodha's relative character development, loveanime put it best fully 3 weeks ago, when she said that"Jalal has gone so forward in character development that he is walking alone, and his apparent soul mate is nowhere near him".

(The CVs must now be wondering what to make of their tagline Jalal ko Jodha ne haivaan se bana diya insaan.😉)

Except that since then, things seem to have got worse. Jodha seems to have been dropped on the head, and now has a fixed grumpy expression that registers nothing. I do not think she took in even an iota of all the distilled wisdom that Salima propounded. She looked so blank as Salima walked away that one doubts if she was listening at all. Maybe it was the correct coloured digestive excretion already making itself felt!😉

She also seems to suffer from short term memory loss, and so keeps repeating what she said to Jalal in their last encounter. She repeated the whole ghrina lines in the last (or last but one?) episode for no reason that I could comprehend. First, she treated the Teen Devian (Hamida, Gulbadan and Jijianga) plus assorted daasis and baandis to the momentous information that she had only ghrina for Jalal from the time her hand was given in his (by her father, to save his backside and those of his sons and his praja). Then, just 10 minutes later, she marched up to him when he was weighing rings in the insaaf ka tarazu, and delivered the whole spiel all over again. Why? Did she think he was suffering from short term memory loss?

Yesterday, I could not understand what Jodha meant when telling Jalal that he should not imagine she would see his returning the ring as a mahaan act. It was pure poppycock, and my heart goes out to poor Paridhi, forced to play this stupid, obstinate, blinkered, illogical, weepy wimp of a woman, and mouth these inane lines. If it were not that her whole career is at stake, and Ekta is a very vindictive boss, I am sure she would have complained bitterly.

As for Jalal, he is fast becoming obsessed with this female, and that is another reason I found these episodes so boring. I do not like seeing a quintessential alpha male reduced to these straits. What is one to make of an emperor for whom the fate of Afghanistan is apparently less important than the colour of Jodha's vomit.

Moreover, Jodha's complete lack of good sense seems to be catching. For we now have Jalal who, instead of simply informing the Teen Devian and the assorted assemblage that Jodha was not expecting at all and was the victim of a plot, indulges in the kind of "Hate me, do!" convolutions that one expects from the typical virtuous bahu in every single soap.

You know, it is a sort ot TV soap convention for the noble, self-sacrificing heroine to make herself out to be a villainess at some point in the story, so as to save the reputation or marriage of someone else, ideally her husband's sister. It would not be such a great tyaag if it was her sister, you see! Plus it never occurs to her to tell the truth and take the straight way out of the mess, for she HAS to make tyaags periodically.

So for a bunch of episodes, the heroine is vilified by all the rest, till one day the truth comes out and she instantly acquires a halo.

This is what is happening here as well. Except that the gender has been changed. It is now the hero who is making himself out to be a villain, strictly temporarily, of course. Soon he will have a halo of his own. The question is whether Jodha will also fall in line and start singing hosannas to him or not. Probably not, but either way, it will be a sad fate for Jalal, soon to become Akbar. To depend on vomit being blue, ugh.., instead of coming clean like a man, this is hardly the path to greatness.

Meanwhile, you can be sure the TRPs will celebrate this truly revolutionary role reversal, of which Balaji are surely very proud!😉

Plus, the Shahenshah is far too quick to reward good service, and does it beyond all proportion. First, he made Sharifuddin his behenoyi for having got him Amer, which is what gave rise to all of Sharifuddin's corrosive ambition. But for that, he would have remained an aspiring subedar, attentive to all his master's wishes and whims, as he was in the pre-Amer days.

Now, Jalal is going to make that Munim Khan the Wazir-e-Aala, or Bairam Khan's successor. But why? Because he handled Kabul and Jalal's rebellious brother-in-law well? But is that not his job? This kind of undue largesse is the best way to spoil good staff officers.

The result this time will be that Adham will start dipping not just his hands but his whole arm into the imperial till courtesy his protege Munim Khan. This will end in his murdering Atgah Khan when the latter catches on to this loot, and Adham will be defenestrated (thrown out of a window - fenetre is window in French - to his death).

That is of course a long way off yet, so it will be happy pickings for the trio (Sharifuddin will also be angling for a share, to make up for the loot he was forced by Jalal to disgorge and return to Bharmal). Till Jalal discovers that he is short of funds to bail Bharmal out of the latest fix he is, probably for Shivani's wedding!

Ariel, for Heaven's sake stop banging your head for this show, or you will end up as dropped on the head as Jodha!😉A fate awful to contemplate.

I stay on board the show these days only for Jalal, even if my hand itches to land a sound thappad on his imperial cheek for his pandering to a woman who does not deserve him at all - she and Suryabhan would have been a perfect fit!. Also, now, for Salima's limpid wisdom and her calm, soothing presence. No wonder Bairam Khan was so besotted with her. Aisi biwi so naseebwaalon ko hi milti hai.Jalal is nowhere near as naseebwaala.

Finally, Jalal to Jalal with his eternal Jodha Begums, why do Jodha and Salima too insist on adding Salima Begum and Jodha Begum in every single sentence they utter? Is it that they are reminding themselves of the other's name, or do they imagine the other person has forgotten hers? It is totally unnecessary and very irritating to have to listen to.

Lord, see how long this has become! Almost like one of my shorter posts!!

Just read the update . To me it seems like a filler episode. Jashn after jashn, these Mughals sure are party animals :)

At least they didn't let ruqs fall through the cracks . Jalal, I know you and Jo are soul mates but please recognize how fiercely loyal ruqs is to you and how much she loves you even if you can't reciprocate it. Since Jo begum loves so many people she will be divided, even though it's in a good way , but for ruqs you are her sole priority .

Do you ladies feel that it's possible BB is trying force Jo and jalal to bridge the gap between them through this fake pregnancy because she knows somehow that cheapo is thirsty for Jo's blood ?

I really don't want her to be a back stabbing sister to jalal

Hi Shyamala,
I am waiting for ur latest post as there I will post what I am feeling off lately abt the epis ...(apart from the stupidity of the tiresome Track)...😊!! I know there will be loads of differing view on the same where people tend to fish out certain elusive closeness/affection of Ja-Jo in their convos...even when they are extremely violent or almost abusive...😕 For me , I am actually getting bored with the repetitiveness of certain things and to some extent lack of touching expressions between the leads nowadays...as can't see the old sparkling chemistry between Ja-Jo for quite sometime...🤢 I feel something terribly amiss here...it can be a problem with the script or Portrayal or even Actors...!!(though RT makes good effort in pulling through the scenes...)

Regards,
Kamal

I might be wrong since i only watch 1 or 2 epis per week out of the 5 epis a week nowadays, and maybe it's my yucks with the show - but i think Tokas acts bleah, certainly below his level up to Sukanyan's wedding epis.

or maybe like i said, i'm just bleah with this serial.

Ok I am going to comment on the last part of today episode. Jalal reaction at the end was provoked naughtiness not his usual Care free let have fun attitude. He comes to meet jodha feeling very sympathetic even in his heart asking for forgiveness. At the first turn jodha proclaims she will leave him and The child, strike one, jalal shrugs it off by naming his children. I think he wanted to share a genuine tender moment with her as to calm her down by doing so maybe she will stop her ranting or somewhere he wanted her too see how much he is in love with this non existent child. Jodha goes on to add all he cares about is being a father and she had to pay a heavy price for it. Ironic jalal must have thought a woman was brutally murdered in order to save jodha, salima and jalal are so tensed at the breach of defences in the mahal, and even more scary a murderer is Iiving amongst them as a shehenshah all this must be plaguing him. Strike two he snapped emotionally plotters and especially jodha have made a joke of his dream of being a father, pain on his face clearly evident when he stops to compose himself. Jodha doesn't stop there she calls him an animal and then jalal does what he does best he shuts her up in his own sweet way. Strike three even though many saw jalal as being naughty I felt there was more anger present as well. He was so descriptive with his lie he didn't care because in his mind he is doing everything he can to save jodha the least she could do is shut up which is what his quietness was intending. Have we ever seen him blatantly lie about anything so far, he might not disclose his intentions but he is never goes out of his way to deceive someone. I think jalal and the audience is so sick of her calling him an animal, pervert, a liar he had to snap eventually. So he put his foot down and her down a notch and he does it with a bold faced lie so unlike him but it was his hurt at constantly being misunderstood.
