I agree with all your pointers on Jodha...but in this instance, I'd reserve my thoughts on Jalal too...the main reason he hasn't spoken to Jodha about this all is because he's NEVER had the opportunity to interrogate her in public about it yet...

Its a HUGE HUGE dart on a man's ego if he knew that his wife had had an affair with another man...and this guy is the Shehenshah - with women vying for HIS attention...

The ONLY reason he's not announced it yet is because his ego will be smashed to smithereens if this came out in public - not because he wants to protect her honour or anything. If Jo had an affair, Jalal will appear just as defamed...the tell-tale 'he could please her, but I couldn't' stigma! This is why he didn't open his mouth in front of Ruqs either - not because he was worried about keeping up Jo's honour. As far as he's currently concerned - if she couldn't care less for him, why him her?

The extent to which he's angry with Jodha is apparent when he proclaimed public stoning upon that adulteress wife who came to him in court!

Me thinks that's why he takes upon the investigation himself too...to preserve HIS honour, not her's. He is the Shehenshah and a man - obviously - ego, honour and respect are what drive him and keep him on that throne. His life'd become a public spectacle if it came out in the public that his wife'd done such a deed (which btw, I've never come across a SINGLE instance in history of ) which again is why this track DOESN'T SIT WELL with me at all!

He's doing none of this to preserve Jodha's honor. He's doing all this to preserve his own only. He doesn't want to expose himself as a subject of ridicule to all n sundry. He's a emperor after all. So, he isn't exactly doing Jodha any favor. Moreover , he's hell bent on finding the culprit in crime first , before making any move. You could see his mind occupied with this thought that who did it, for Jodha couldn't make baby by eating mangoes. So, before making it all public , he needs to find that out too.

Btw Jalal had full intention to tell Ruku every thing he thinks about that matter, what do you think he called Ruku for ?? To talk about war strategies in Istambul ?? But he didn't pushed the matter only because he was hurt that his BFF not believing him n not even ready to hear his side of the story, which is natural reaction. So he didn't stop her when she made for the door.

Jodha didn't include Ruku as 3rd party, Ruku was always part of the whole discussion on Jalal-Jogha nightly affairs, n that was NOT Jodha's doing. It was all Jalal. Ruk wanted every detail n Jalal happily ready to give that.

But of course all faults to Jodha ! Why should she cry that the man with whom she was beginning to paint a future happy picture n beginning to trust n respect proved to be necrophiliac ?? Why indeed ! So very bad of her ! All of a sudden she found herself pregnant with no knowledge of where it came from. It's worse than any nightmare ! But she mustn't cry even in private as that irritates us ! What's exactly is she supposed to do ? Dance in merriment I guess ! Hmm that'd be a very natural reaction.

N it's not that she's throwing a fit or some thing. If Jalal is putting up a fake smile , he's also drawing enough attention from every body n making it obvious to all that's he's mentally turmoiled.But I won't blame him for doing that, because I don't believe judging people according to my own whim, as some people obviously do.

Even Jodha put up a fake smile when HB kissed her head on hearing the news first. Rest she's not all giggly but she's hasn't behaved in any way that gives any one even a hint or suspicion of what mental trauma she's going through. I really don't know how differently she should've behaved.

She already found out that Jalal discusses his night ventures with Ruku as a friend. So she must be sure before insisting her to stay put that Ruku already knows what's there's to know about what transpired that night . N she was just clearing her side of the story.

and i completely agree with you..i may bash jodha for so many reasons but it breaks my heart to see people aiming their patthar at her right now...so should i feel more bad for jodha coz she is carrying child..yes i should...jalal is in his own personal hell but that does not take away the nightmare that jodha is going through

and if his best friend refuses to hear him out that is their problem ..jodha is not responsible for it...and yes he had every intention of telling it all to ruqaiyya just like he tells her every other thing only her anger at him made him stop..so jodha stopping rukku or complaint to kanhaa is petty as compared...ruqaiyya is a part of this coz Jalal did not find the need to draw a boundary not on his friend but his wife...there was no need to lie but he could have easily side stepped her questions,instead it was all twisted fun...i knew this was all coming back to bite him 😆

and as lashy also pointed out ...it comes down to his ego,his position and his pride and the assumption that she does not care why should I😆 ..he is an Emperor after all...and another reason he is quite is because his deemag par hukumat is on no talking phase with him hence he is clueless what to do...😆

But you must give it that this track has ended up elevating Ruqs...wonder if this is why the makers brought this track up in the first place...😆 and here we thought it was all to improve Jalal and jodha's TRUST...Bleugh!

My take on it all is just like Tripti's - I don't like this stupid track - BAS!!!!😆
