I have been watching this serial from Sep last week when Jodha was trying to prove that Maham killed Ruqu's baby. But in the last few episodes ever since Jalal started liking Jodha, i feel he has lost his aura.
Let me start with the conversion issue.
These maulvi's are making big issue of a simple thing. OK so Jalal went to a temple and prayed there and took arthi. So what? Did he not do phera and prayed in front of agni God during phera's. Where were maulvi's then? Why they never objected when he married in hindu traditions? Jalal was born in umerkot kings palace and grew up in rewa king's palace both hindu's. Would they not have mandir, do pooja's, celebrate hindu festivals? So why object now just because you are an emperor? Why Jalal never pointed all this to them?
Secondly an emperor of a vast complex country(ok that time it was india but now called as indian continent since jalal empire had afghanistan, tajikistan, pakistan, india, nepal, tibet, bangladesh and burma under his rule) which had many ethnic and religious groups. So he is emperor of india not only his religion population and as such sometimes he may get invited for temples of other religion. How shall he handle that saying no, i am not going for this place or that place? Why did jalal not ask them that question?
And i had read akbar used to visit jain temple, mathura temple, church etc.
He kept quiet when hamida said jodha has to convert to isalm no upset no shock no questions?
Second this Ruqaiah is getting insecure of jodha but the way jalal pushed her off, come on as an emperor and husband you cannot be so rude to a wife. And she is not only wife but cousin and friend who shared all your tears and smiles. Not to forget her father gave his life to save you from his brothers and win you back the kingdome. Gratitude be koi cheez hai. I never expected jalal to give such a direct answer and not in that manner. And lying to ruqaiah like that, shahenshah ko shoba nahi detha jalal. Why are you lingering suspense which will make ruqu angry and jodha even more confused? What is both speak with each other and get more confused? If jodha thinks you lied to her what if she attempts one more suicide?
Third is sharifuddin, how can he go around saying send jodha out of agra or tell her to convert. Jalal always shouts at adham but no such thing for sharifuddin may be because he is bro-in-law?
Fourth somehow i am missing that powerful jalal from amer time. First sukanya's father-in-law humiliated him he was quiet and now he is quiet at ulema. I did not even like the way he defended jodha in front of ruqu and everyone in harem as if begging them i gave word. All you have to tell is i will handle matter you people do not interfere. Atleast defend yourself why you require sheik chistiji to tell you all those things. Cannot you only think of all that yourself and tell ulema what chistiji told you in letter? Where is that mature enlightened jalal?
I want jalal to become and act like emperor not like husband in a saas-bahu serial. The old jalal was better at least he acted like emperor though a rude and hot headed. Pls CVs bring back Shahenshah jalaluddin akbar not jodha's lover jalal always. Yes he can love a wife but not to forget he is jalal the emperor. If everyone start dominating you whether your amer sasuralwale, sukanya sasuralwale, your servants maham, your family like jodha and ruqu where is your individuality as emperor akbar.
