For the sake of an interesting viewing for you, I'll advice you to leave behind your impression of the real Akbar behind 😳(none of us can know exactly how he was and me thinks if he was portrayed exactly like how he was...many of the viewers are going to tune off)

Now with the plot of a strong-headed heroine against a strong-headed hero kisi ek ko tho jhukaayenge hi...this time Jalal since he was the one who got attracted to her first...I'm sure next track will be Jo falling in love and Jalal MU-ing her...ye cycle tho chalta hi rahega...😆

He's still sakth with everyone else - I beg to differ from TM's post - he didn't let Sukanya's in laws talk down to him..he only waited patiently and then gave it back sooth sameth! The way he said he'd tear that wajinder's heart out and the way he drew his sword out - where was he being submissive yaar?

I still think he purposely irritates Jo so he can get back at her in his own way. In the religious issue, I'm sure the makers let Jalal be silent seeing how they've already has protests from Najmullah and Karni Sena. The CVs also have to tweak all this for the sake of acceptance me thinks...😕

We all know nothing like this would have happened then..but then, this is a 21st century love drama in a historical setting where the CVs are trying to balance both...so sometimes they miss and sometimes come up trumps!

I'll definitely wait for the day when Jo realizes she's in love with him and starts being more cordial though! I'm fed up of her rudeness...

i m not the one who talked about real akbar... TM was talking about real Akbar...
...now i m done with those post
thank u😳

I disagree. i think the CVs are doing a fab job with showing Akbar managing to find a middle ground always. Besides this show was never meant to be a biography on Akbar the Great as an emperor solely. but it was always meant to be a story; then a love story of Jodha and Akbar; a story of the progression of their relationship, and its effects on Akbar's reign, his transformation slowly into Akbar from Jalaal.

When Jalal takes his own decision (like in the Durg issue) people complain about the nature of his decisions
When Jalal keeps quiet like he did in the court yesterday, viewers are unhappy that he's not being Shehenshah...

Ye bichaaraa karegaa bhi tho kyaa...I've just realized (like Jalal has) that its impossible to keep all viewers happy all the time😆

bang on lashy! when it comes to mulas protesting, these religious heads had lots of power those days, it was only akbar that was to so accommodating towards all religions, otherwise all the rest of the mughal emperors were fanatics! the only thing i found stupid was the kala kapra wrapping idea..now i do not want to even comment on that. the whole body heat track was one of the worst i have seen so far!

To TM,
I will simply say this. Don't go by history here. EK is creating her own history, this story or show is complete fiction as the disclaimer says.

Now if we are talking about the show...I will agree with you that I don't want a henpecked husband who will lose his spine in love and will do anything and everything what Jodha or Ruqaiya says. He should be the supreme authority on the land and people should be bowing down to him.

But the tag line of the show is Jodha will make him a human being from a beast! So there you go...the transition that we are all witnessing is exactly that. Jalal is simply turning human and Jodha apparently is creating this process! Well, don't ask me how, frankly to me it is the other way round. But the CV's think otherwise.

And if you mention yesterday's episode Jalal was the emperor all throughout. He stood up for his word to Jodha, he told every one indefinitely not to pressurize Jodha to convert, he even was willing to give up his throne for his word to her...don't you think that was an act of an emperor? An if he didn't say anything to what Hamida Bano in court when she declared Jodha will convert look at his expressions, he immediately looked at Jodha with shock. And why he kept quiet...because Jodha herself gave the power and authority to Hamida Bano and not to the Emperor. He can't go beyond her wish.

And he wasn't rude to Ruqaiya but was firm. And definitely that was needed. Not only Ruqaiya's dad but all his near and dear ones have sacrificed for him in some way or the other be it Maham, Khan Baba, Ruqaiya but he can't turn a blind eye or a deaf ear when these people are concerned. He is the emperor, nobody should be questioning him, nobody should be going beyond what he is saying, nobody should be pressurizing him to accept some views other than his own, nobody should be gong over and beyond what he is saying...period! And that was being an emperor! He did say the right thing to ruqaiya when she was going on about Jodha even when he specifically told to leave Jodha alone. I was happy he took a stand. Not only Ruqaiya but Maham too was put to listen and adhere to what he said.

Yesterday's episode was bang on to me to see a just emperor and a husband with authority.

👏

I said this yesterday I don't really know why we break in a sweat when Jalal does something which is not politically correct? If he said I will step down from the throne doesn't imply I will sit back and let people run the sultanate the way they want. Isn't there something call quick fix? His announcement would have placated the clerics and given him enough time to come up with some strategy. He handled the matter in a dignified manner. He was also justified when he asked ruqaiya and other harem women to back off. Only maham had the authority to interfere in this matter and whether she should interfere should be decided by shehensha. What he did was not out of some romantic reasons but these are some more steps taken by him towards a more liberal self. Will his liberal image make any sense if he couldn't even protect the rights of his own begum?

Talking of sacrifices Jalal has not and will never forget them. Remember, jodha's brothers risked their life for him though he was moved but he didn't get swayed. That is how a shehensha should be. There are times when he has no option but to be firm and authoritative even with people who are dear to him(he almost beheaded adham). He is in a tough position and that's the price he has to pay.
