I believe that its Jodha whose the first person to understand and realise that Jalal yearns for an emotional relationship not a physical one.Since Jalal shares a physical relationship with Ruk then she can never understand that part of him.Jodha on the other hand is the one who doesnt share that kind of relationship with him thus making way for an emotional bond with him.

That is what makes Jodha different from the others.She doesnt need to establish any sexual relations with him for them to bond.
