There's not been significant information about her religion. Akbar was extraordinarily tolerant of his wives practising religions other than Islam, for the age we're talking about. Her palaces were decorated with paintings and frescos of Lord Krishna and she was a faithful devotee. She was buried, though. So, the conversion might mean her burial. I'm really uncertain about it. 😕

@Lashy: I love your depiction of how the tent scene could've played out. 😃

But instead they gave us this cheap bit of body heat which doesn't seem to lead anywhere. 🥱

What I liked was this- Jalal didn't deny or admit to anything. He let Jodha form her own opinion & calmly told her that she needn't advise him on his behaviour as a husband or even as an Emperor.

Jodha needs to process whatever has happened & since she now thinks that he did the deed, she needs to adjust to it.

Maybe later I feel that Jalal will tell her what actually happened. Which wasn't more than him giving her body heat .

By that time Jodha would've normalised what happened in her head but on hearing the truth, would breathe deep.

Note: I loved the way Jalal answered the Ulemaa & made him realise that worship at a Mandir or a dargah, the sentiment remains the same. 😳

Jodha will never convert!

Jalal won't let her anyway. Am betting he wants to save Chishti-jee's ears from Jodha's angry , weepy rants! 🤣

When tracks themselves are making no sense, bloopers like clothes can be overlooked me thinks 😆

The religious protest I have no complaints about - if it happened, it has to be shown...😊

I really liked the episode...the show started with a new day and just like jodha audience is left guessing about what exactly transpired...? I am not complaining that they have held back the events of last night...and...I am sure it will be taken up in subsequent episodes...awkward questions hang between jalal and jodha and they will be answered when the right time comes...

I am also happy that they have taken up the religious conflict issue...it's sensitive but unavoidable in the story of jalal and jodha..real jodha did convert to Islam(info credit: alakh)...but..in the show...if and when jodha converts to Islam her heart and soul should be into it and jalal by her side...

The answer to the question where romance is going? the romance has not even started...post MC track none of the scenes had the scope of romance thanks to rough dialogues, rushed tracks...as much as I want JJ's romance to blossom i am equally particular about the fact that cvs will never be able to shove down my throat a coy jodha immediately followed by one spitting venom and spelling out her relationship in no uncertain terms...switch on switch off romance is worse than no romance...

The whole body heat scenario degraded the whole object of romance and what did it really achieve.
NOTHING!!! Actually since nothing was shown other than Jo's tantrum and Ja's majnu avtaar its only left distaste!

I actually did not mind the religious furore. It was a realistic problem for akbar in the 16th century, it was a constant problem for him during his reign. In the 21st religious tolerance in conservative muslim clerks is a source of antagonis just imagine how close minded they were in the 16th century.
I didn't mind it either...whether she'll convert or not is a question though!🤔

The problem was not the issue it was how it was brought up. The writers are throwing the kitchen sink at us.
Oh yes...there's no proper transitioning at all...never has been...I'm disheartened...this serial has a lot of potential being under-utilized...

There are zillion ways we could've seen JJ spend their night together in the tent showing some progress in their relationship. We've been craving for them to have proper conversations , God only knows when that will happen.

The maulvi bit -Jodha needing to convert...Didn't know she ended up converting..Hmmm not sure what this is leading to...will wait n watch... Overall the thought of her converting, not sure I like it...
