RELIGION
So, Ruqaiyya's midnight clamour made sense - she was trying to pre-warn Jalal about the Maulvi's rebellion!
Today might not have depicted much in terms of Jalal and Jodha's relationship (forward or backward). However, it was very very significant in one chapter of Jalal's life - Religion.
The manner in which he answers those Maulvis (with the help of MA) was noteworthy!
MA
Another startling point - MA mentions that she loves Jalal and doesn't want to oust Jalal for the sake of Adham! I just shook my head in disbelief. Then, who was the MA who was speaking to herself about Jalal's downfall (for the sake of Adham) when her dismal reality was revealed during the MC kaand!
MA-AK
I don't know what to say about the delicate unbalanced relationship between MA and AK either. It's very volatile and the direction it'd take seems just as unpredictable as many of the other relationships in this serial!
JO'S PUNISHMENT
What are they expecting Jo to do? I'm a bit confused here. What is her punishment exactly? That she has to convert? Alakh has pointed out that she did do so.
However, me thinks that the manner in which it will be portrayed is that this track shall feed the TRP aunties - i.e. placing the lonely innocent bahu in a khatgarah and everyone 'sawaals' her left right and centre?
Anyway let's see how it pans out. It might pull in the aunties who'd have possibly shied away from push-ups and body heat! If this doesn't work, I don't know what other tricks the CVs have up their sleeves to keep the TRP & drama running!
BODY HEAT
Now to the most awaited bit - I don't understand why they brought this body heat track at all! It was unnecessary and didn't provide any progression or memorable scenes for the lead pair.
In fact, apart from the novelty of watching Jalal in a fur coat and some artificial snow flakes, what exactly did it achieve? If anything, poor Jodha could have been spared the online abuse she's going through right now - what with her storming out having caused it all in the first place!
Au contraire, they could have just shown the troupe stuck in a snow storm within their respective tents with an awkward (AND SILENT) Jodha cosying up in a shawl beside Jalal - sitting in front of a wood burning stove (obviously since they wouldn't have been carrying more than a stove for a tent!) It would have seemed novel and more realistic.
While rubbing their hands in front of the fire, the couple could have reminisced the various incidents in Amer - possibly even the start of small talk.
At the start, Jalal could have been the more talkative one. However, as the conversation steered on to Amer, their exchanges could have ended with Jodha obliviously becoming the more animatedly involved one! She talks and he listens! Otherwise, she could have asked him about his childhood - he about her favourite places in Amer...maybe a few light-hearted words...maybe an unwitting smile from Jo's end...the possibilities are endless!
Why, with the night becoming colder- Jalal could have offered her his shawl to share which she could have refused at first, but later on given in seeing how the weather was taking its turn for the worse!
Wouldn't something simple like this have been romantic too - be it the forest setting, the cold winds or the fire stove!
Instead, they've left the body-heat nonsense open-ended for now so that the story can be played around with??? I don't know. Anyway, it didn't look like Jodha had the luxury/will or energy to ponder upon it beyond 5 minutes. Further, with the religious uproar in Agra, it doesn't seem like she'll have the time either.
The whole result being its nothing beyond a sour haze in Jodha's mind as it is in the viewers'!
Happy weekend and Happy Diwali one and all!😃
