Thank you, Anu, and yes, it was a beautiful episode, just as today's was high drama at the end. Jalal saying :
Ek... baat... aur, with each word stressed as if it was all in all, and the Rat King shaking in his shoes.
As I wrote to Ela above, I loved the new shrewd, semi-
siyasati Jodha, the semi- because I do not see her going all the way. She is not ruthless enough for that, just as Hamida is and Humayun was, which was why he was a loser, a lifelong failure and would have long been written off but for Ruqaiya's father and then Bairam Khan.
As for Jalal not believing Jodha, I have tried to explain that in my post; it has to do with her clear sense of priorities, where he comes very low - witness her speech on Wednesday last - plus he cannot see WHY Sharifuddin would do such a thing, or what he gains from it. it is a valid reason for doubt.
Re: @blue, it would have been impossible for him to settle the issue AND have Sukanya's marriage go ahead at the same time. He believes the Rat King is lying thru his rotten teeth, which is why he is so furious and so determined to teach him a lesson. Plus he thinks he can ensure that there are no ill effects for Sukanya, but that is simply not possible. How can he prevent the atmosphere at Dhawalgarh from being freezing, even if there is no abuse or overt mistreatment out of fear of Jalal?

Fantastic take on a beautiful episode, Shyamala.
I thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Jodha made me fall off my chair when she hugged Maham. I had to re-watch the scene to catch Jalaal's eyes pop out😆😆😆
Was quite impressed that Jodha acted the way she did... He had to learn the tools of the trade sooner or later. Glad she woke up in time.
Going by the looks Jalaal was throwing at her, I wasn't too sure if he bought it but yes it certainly seemed to have done the trick!
The little glance exchange between them right after he takes leave of Barmal was fantastic. To me it seemed like Jalaal was acknowledging to her that they both were indeed playing games, which made her promptly walk to his chamber to question his ulterior motive.
Regarding Jalaal's plan I for one wanted him to resolve the issue once and for all and wasn't too thrilled about the plan to give now and then go to war to reconquer it... Going to war at a later point could pose problems for Sukanya post wedding.
MP has been increasing impressive in correctly decoding Jalaal's actions..
One thing clear... It doesn't look like he trusts her much yet . Or else he would've at least mulled over what she had mentioned -"That she did hear Shariff's talk".
