once again a very good post , Mansi and to the point. today my points r slightly different. my take here will be in three parts, first Jodha, second Jalal and last both of them. here i m not taking anyone's side. but looking at both of them as he said yest " Destiny chooses it's players".
so abt Jodha. yes, while watching her first time yest, anybody can be upset that she is so insensitive or blunt. But there is one more thing. Only with him , she is like that. the Reason is why? Is she like that from her birth? if yes, then she should be like that with everybody, which she isn't. she is loving, caring, soft, fiery, proud, ethical , and a person who can be described as very pure and good soul. It's only with him, her fiery side comes out. even with MA or Ruku she is not that fiery or intolerant. then why with him?
like i said, for a girl who has always got lots of love, care and affection , who has led a complete protected life , whose dreams were totally different, everything crashed in a second. she had to sacrifice herself for her ppl to somebody she had come to hate coz of some incidents. we have seen her as selfless person, she was ready to give up Suryabhan's love (she didn't love him, but he loved her) for Sukanya. that means she is ready to sacrifice. and had it been somebody from Rajputs she would have accepted him. but it's Jalal, the man she hated to the core. the man who married her under false pretenses (in her eyes).
abt her yest's bluntness and insensitivity, i think it was only in her words. if she would have been insensitive, she wouldn't have been upset after he is attacked. she was worried for him , before Maina spoke abt Sukanya's marriage and requested her to talk to Jalal. even then she didn't at first spoke abt Amer, she just said abt attacks on him. but his question whether suddenly she started caring for him, changed her mind, as she took the question from him as his taunt. and by now she knows , if she starts her Amer Jaap, he gets irritated, so she did exactly that. and when he speaks abt his not trusting anybody, seeing enemy in even his close ones, for a second there was a shock on her face. she is loved all the time by everybody, till she got married, she never had to be suspicious of anybody, so this is all shocking for her. and with him she is always blunt, so she said it directly.
now let's see abt Jalal. A man who has lost his childhood in freas and cruelity from his own ppl, a man burdened with huge responsibilities at very tender age. he thinks everybody around him is only there coz he is Sheheshah, the ultimate power, and so they will be the benefitiories. and he is well aware of the fact that they r interested only in his power and wealth. he knows nobody loves him truly, and he is not expecting that.
but about Jodha, he has seen her caring and loving others. he had liked it first time he saw her. but he was shocked that she hates him without knowing him. so he made it his mission to teach her lesson. he insulted her , threatened her but all that coz what he really wanted from her was her attention and her care. (not saying love here , coz he still doesn't believe in love). but he is not getting that from her, rather her intolerance for him, her ignorance of him is something that hurts him.
he wants her care, he is Jealous when she cares for others, so he keeps hoping that she will be same with her. but then he forgets , the basic difference is there.
she cares for them,loves the ppl, she feels (not think) as her own, be it her amer ppl or Hameeda banu and Rahim. She has accepted them as her own. while he was always her enemy (at least by her POV), who is cruel and insensitive. so she is behaving the same with him. she cares for him, but only in her mind. the moment she sees him , her mind makes her take a step backwords, and plus his words r something , she always takes as something with hidden agenda. she just can't understand that he craves for her care. she understands her loneliness, but she doesn't think herself to be the one who can help him getting out of it.
and somewhere he is responsible for it. the way he keeps advertising , that he has no heart, the person like Jodha won't be able to connect with it. he himself has built the walls around him so that nobody can hurt him, but the walls r so thick, that he ends hurting himself more and more. and this is the situation, where nobody, (and really nobody) can help him. Not even Jodha.
he behaves very good with her, but his one taunt when she is with him, makes her forget all his good deeds. and it's not her fault. she is not yet connected with him . she goes back to her 'ghrina' shell with his one wrong word.
i know many will ask, why only Jalal should back off, why can't Jodha see him as a person. then the Fact is : IT WAS JALAL WHO WANTED JODHA IN HIS LIFE FOR WHATEVER REASONS AND NOT VICE VERSA.
She never wanted him so she will never try. it's him who have to open a small door in his life to let her see through it, and only then she will be able to connect with him. else they will always be like that , two banks of the river who can see eachother but can not come together.
