According to producer Ekta Kapoor, this journey will be a new chapter in Akbar's life, as he will start looking at things through Jodhaa's point of view, which will bring about a change in his character. At a recent event she confessed that twists have been an integral part of all her shows, with a new angle cropping up after every 15 episodes to keep all the moms and grandmothers of glued to the show. Currently standing at third position with an impressive 8027 TVTs in Week 39, Jodha Akbar continues to be the highest rated costume drama on television right now.
But the makers are eyeing the top slot, which has been occupied byDiya Aur Baati Hum. That explains why Kapoor banked heavily on promotions with special promos and a press conference to announce the epic romantic turn of the show.
