What shall I say about this one? It was very sweet of you to ask me to review it for you, and I am flattered by that.

I have thus read all the 10 chapters at one go. But as you would have guessed from my reaction to Azra's FF, which you did not like at all, any violence, physical or emotional, by a man towards a woman upsets me a lot, and this one too begins on the same note.

But I do distinguish the fact that this one is not, like that one was, a case of deliberate, wicked deception, followed by beatings and other physical abuse plus acute verbal humiliation. It is a case of a drunken husband using force where he should not have. So, coupled with his eventual repentance, this Jalal can perhaps be excused, or at least treated more leniently than that one.

So, I would like to cut him some slack provided he shapes up and behaves impeccably from now on. I also do appreciate all the hard work that has gone into this story, and I do hope that you will be able to take it forward to a happy ending in a sensitive and credible manner.

Tell me one thing, Nancy, why are you young people out to skewer poor Jalal like this? If he had his way, he would sue you both for defamation of his character!😉 That is a joke, so do not get upset and write me another protest note, there is a good girl!

The room had a glum and depressed silence. The doctors were continuously tending to Jodha.

Doctors said - There is no need to worry Shahenshah! Begum Jodha is perfectly fine. Infact, we are surprised because her condition is better than before.
Her heart beats are normal and her body is responding lively. Her stress levels seem less now. We are happy.

He thanked the doctors and they left.

Now, it was only Jalal, Hameeda and Jodha in the room. Obviously, Hameeda couldn't take the risk of leaving Jodha alone with Jalal.

Jalal felt cloistered within. A mixed feeling of rapture and glum took over his mind. His heart had been so joyful and happy with the news of becoming his father,
but he never forgot for a second, the deed he had done. Each time he remembered it, he felt a metal stab in his heart.
How he could have done that? How on Earth did he think of that? If he wasn't the Shahenshah,He should have died by now.
Jodha's words pricked and drilled through his "heart". She was so True. She must have felt quavered all these days. Her life would have been so terrible and disastrous.
No one can be more monstrous than me. Her each word is so right! So Justified! So true! Yes! I am a Butcher.. I deserve this pain.
It is still less than what she had gone through... He was very lost in his thoughts.

Hameeda was very joyous after hearing the verdict of Hakims. She looked at Jalal with gaiety and blithe expressions..as if She was somewhere thanking him.

Hameeda decided to start the conversation.

Hameeda - Humein behad khushi hai Jalal! Aaj shayad aapne apni zindagi mein pehli baar koi nek kaam kiya hai..Aaj agar humari beti ki haalat mein thoda sudhar hai..
to vo aapke karan hai..Hum dhanyavaad dete hain..Ab aap jaa sakte hain..

Jalal was shocked. He felt the painful feelings. He could feel the "disgusting vibes" that came from everyone.

Jalal said - Nahi Ammi Jaan! Ab hum nahi jayenge. Yahi to humari galti thi..Ki hum sachai se bhag rahe the..Jo kaam humein bahut pehle karna chahiye tha..
Vo humne aaj kiya.. Hum apne kiye ke liye bahut sharminda hai Ammi Jaan... Pehle ke karmo ke liye bhi aur aaj humne aapse jaise baat ki, uske liye bhi.
Fir se muafi mangna chahte hain.

A lone tear rolled down his eyes.

Hameeda said with little warmth - Hum aajke vakiye ke liye naraz nahi hai. Balki bahut khush hain, ke humari tarkeeb rang lai. Humein aapki tarkeeb ki tarif
karni hi hogi. Hum bhi yahi chahte the ki Jodha Beta ka andarooni dukh aur malal bahar aaye..Aur waqai wahi hua.. Ab Jodha beta ki zindagi mein thoda sukh ayega.

Jalal gave a feeble smile.

Hameeda asked doubtingly - Lekin humein ek baat samajh nahi aayi Jalal.. hum dono ye sab Jodha beta ke saamne..yahin par kar sakte the..Diwaan-e-Khaas bulane ki
kya zarurat thi..Kahin un sab ke saamne zalil hone se aapki shaan kam ho gayi to (last statement with little sharp tone)..

Jalal felt the sting. He was so ashamed of himself. The people who were the most important to him..His mother and his wife..hated him so much.
THeir words were full of sourness and stings.

Jalal said with a glitch - Nahi Ammi-Jaan! Diwaan-e-Khaas bulani zaruri thi..Behad zaruri..Hum chahte the ki Jodha Begum humein sabke saamne zalil karein..
Aur waise unhone humein zalil nahi kiya..unhone sachai se roobaru karwaya.. Jo alfaaz unhone kahe..bilkul sahi the..hum ek kasai hi to hain..Hum chahte the ki sab
dekhen ki hum kitne rakshas hain..Kaise Jodha begum humse nafrat karti hain..Hum sharminda hona chahte the..aapne dekha nahi..kaise sab humein zalil nazaron se
dekh rahe the.. Hum bhi vo dard mehsoos karna chahte the..jo ab tak Jodha Begum ne kiya hai..

Hameeda was surprised and shocked. SHe could not believe that Jalal actually did this for the reasons he mentioned.

Both Jalal and hameeda got shocked to see Jodha, who was all waken up and listening to their conversation.

Jalal was terrified. Oh No!!

Jodha was so shocked to listen to their convo. She looked at Hameeda with questioning eyes..whereas Hameeda could not meet her eyes.

Jodha got up and sat - Ye hum kya sun rahe hain Ammi-Jaan? Kya humne jo suna, vo satya hai?

Hameeda's head dropped down..thus answering a YES.

Jodha was like what! She looked at Jalal with astonishment. Did he really act all the while in Diwaan-e-Khaas just to feel her pain?Just to get humiliated and
insulted so that he would fell her pain?

This was no-doubtedly a second or third time that they were seeing each other...and again he had surprised her..

"How would Jodha react" forms the part of next chapter!
