I came here to say that today's episode was DA BOMB girl. I watched it over breakfast (yes, breakfast at noon) and I have never had this much coffee. all because of heightened anxiety. Loved it all. That is all.

LOVED IT TOO...amazing - different shades of Jalal portrayed so well throughout...the way he handles Jo, her family, MA and Ruqs...they're all so different and yet spectacular...👏

Awesome post 👏⭐️
So beautifully penned.

Loved the episode today...it was an important moment for Jalal... his need to understand her hate and I have always felt that somewhere Jodha was justified in her ghrina, in taking the oath of bringing his head down due to the utter disrespect and atrocities committed at this holy place. She being witness to it all had stayed with her as a nightmare ...had she just heard about it, the impact wouldn't have been so much on her.

Jalal is a very complex and intriguing man...his respect for the holy place...his remorse over this incident... taking steps to correct it ..wanting to make reparation...pacifying Maham about his religious beliefs...and yet surrendering to the Ultimate Divine ! 👏

Really looking forward to the precap.😉

Really looking forward to the precap.😉
Hee hee... I don't want to have my hopes too high...but I want that scene to be well directed (so badly!)😆

The Pujari also - just like that baba at Agra and the Maulvis at Ajmer - bless the couple with 'long life' and the grace of 'healthy children' to further their lineage! Standard well wishes - nothing interesting here.

MA-ADHAM
he's going to have to answer a lot of people for this when he returns to Agra...I don't like that my Shehenshah should endure all this!' This is wise - it's stirring up a political hornet's nest and religious bigotry. But I think Jodha Begum will shush the religious bigots with some lip synching to "Why can't we get along" song.😆
[If Adham the great knows the truth, then I think its all too open for everyone to see😆] He he he ...

JALAL-MINISTER

[How pithy were those words...how astute...mark of a man who's about to reach great heights!] I disagree. A king would know about this looting way before otherwise his intel is bad.

MA-JODHA
Ending her tirade, MA vows never to forget this humiliation from Jodha - vouching to get back at her for this one day! This track will never end. I think though it would be nice if it did after a conspiracy after which MA joins hands with Jodha Begum to deal with Jalal's enemies.

"Another point - While they have showed Jalal melting and becoming softer since the start of the show, they didn't fail to show that he hadn't faltered from his ambitions. His proud smile at the end that said 'I want to rule over all of Hindustan' basically shows that he does want to expand and rule - but, he wants to do it the right way.
No wonder, he was the uber successful Shehenshah Jalal-ud-din Mohammed!"

lashy, another wonderful post! i liked this bold part more than the blue today..this was the highlight of today's episode that jalal wants to rule but the right way..and now the journey starts of becoming Akbar the Great!

Lashy wonderful post... Today episode Jodha poured her inner feelings with Jalaal listening and shattered with silence...

When priest blessed Jodha with healthy pregency something has hit them both for a moment...

Jalaal ordering agdha khan and handling MA very carefully are emporer..

Liked MA-Jodha scene... I think MA will do something as badla...

Precap is wonderful 😆...

The way Jodha give signals and offer the knife to see who is outside... 🤣
Surely Jalaal wants time to spend more with Jodha, she is one wholesome entertainer 🤣

Thanks September for your reply...😳

As for the above point - Hmmm would be next to impossible in ANY kingdom - forget a kingdom as large as Akbar strived to achieve! Even in today's day and age where there's media and recordings of so many things, I'm sure not every issue reaches the ears of presidents and PMs (sometimes deliberately and sometimes unintentionally) In that day and age with no technology to help, with information being handed down purely through word-of-mouth and with delivery of any form of information between cities taking at least days if not weeks - there is bound to be discrepancies.
The king would be totally dependant on spies and these spies were after all only humans dependant on their own skills, scattered all over. Their loyalties could also shift very quickly. There would have been many chances where such spies couldn't/didn't get the news to Akbar as expected...and if so, there could have been nothing really that Akbar could have done about it.
A good king would try to minimize such discrepancies, but he cannot get rid of them..😳

Nice post di..

Somehow the episode has confused me, Jalal did not order his men to loot the temples? In the flashback, he sort of knew about it😕

Are the CVs trying to make things right because the showed Akbar the Great looting temples?

No the CVs are trying to show a transition...when the temples were shown looted, he was still under the guidance of BK...he's come a long way from then...

He didn't order for the temples to be looted, but then - he wasn't really bothered about it either when they came and told him about it. He was more transfixed on the info about Jo and that she'd stopped them! He overlooked the looting-temple-bit totally at that point!

Then, we know how things progressed...he married her and has really calmed down since then - conveniently forgetting about all of this (much like how many of us conveniently forget our past mistakes, not knowing how much they could have affected another person's life -till that whole issue is again brought back in front of us!)

After Jo's outburst, he suddenly realizes the odd-co-incidence they shared at that point in time. An odd co-incidence that would have meant nothing much to him then, but pains him now. The fact that he did nothing to quell the situation then has come back to question him now!

Obviously, due to the respect he has for Khan Baba he never takes his name in bad light...however, its obvious he's stopped following many cruel principles that BK had taught him! Therefore, the recent incidents that have come to light made him reflect on his past deeds in shame.

As for the anger he showed on Atgah Khan about not being informed of all of it properly, it was to do with collective issues me thinks - about the Ameri war, general looting, unethical war strategies - all of it!
Also, even if he was informed - it depends on who informs him too. When his victorious soldiers come and tell him about their wins, their information would be put forth in a very positive light and very one-sided 'Shehenshah...we won..we grabbed this...we got this...yayy...we won!'
But, if a neutral advisor had come and told Jalal the same thing, it'd have been 'Congrats on your win Shehenshah...but, your soldiers are looting and plundering...and this might not bode well for your sultanat in future'
Then, the boy might have thought things differently...that's why in his confessions, he's upset with HIMSELF AND WITH ATGAH KHAN. All this hadn't even struck him till she said how much the locals hated him for all this. It was a realization of all sorts me thinks 😊

Hope I was able to abate some of your doubts...
