I did not understand how Jodha and Pratap are related.
Can someone explain if they were relatives and if so how?
Or is it Pratap is neighbour in Rajputhana so was sent invitation?
If Jodha family and Pratap family related somehow?
I know that many Pratap relatives brothers were working in Akbar's durbar and even fought for Akbar in Haldighatti war. Which i personally do not approve because family comes first irrespective of any discord but still how Akbar trust them and make them commanders in his army?
But hats off to Maharana Pratap what a great human? He refused to kill an enemy who was much stronger than him in military by dubious means. Only great and confident people can make such decisions.
Hope they show some scenes of their stand off their viewpoints in Sukanya's wedding. If that happens will Jodha support Akbar her husband or Pratap who is somehow related to her family.
Bharamal and all male relatives - their reaction is already guessed they will support akbar
and ladies of bharamal - will support both sides or stand neutral
But i have observed one thing in common for Akbar-Jalal - both their relatives, family and so called family friends are all double faced and their biggest enemies and backstab them at first opportunity.

Some people say that they were, in fact, related. I am not sure if the fact is proved. However, we can safely assume that Prataap received an invitation because he is the neighbour and all. Rajputs are famously close with their neighbours, and consider them as their families.
And about Akbar trusting Prataap's relatives, now he can only answer that. 😉 Relatives-against-relatives is a tried-and-tested strategy that still works very well. As they say, nobody can hurt you as much as the people closest to you. Goes on to show how intelligent Akbar was.

That depends on your principals and viewpoints. If Akbar's relatives would have gone to pratap he would have chided them for abondoning their family and sent the back. When Rahim Khan-e-khana's wife, daughters were lost and Maharana Amar Singh brought them to Pratap he scolded him and sent them safely to him. This was during the war between mewar-agra.

Yes. Some people are ethical, and some are smart. 😉 And MP is a great man, undoubtedly. And Akbar was pretty great himself. So, there is no point in wondering about who would have done what. Or, who should have done what.

As far as I know, Akbar also had great respect for Pratap even though they were enemies.

The good thing is that, in order to glorify Akbar, the show is not ridiculing MP, but doing the opposite. I really liked the part with MP's morality tonight. A man like his should receive nothing less.

They cannot ridicule MP even if they wanted to.
