i guess someone from pratap's family was married into bharmal's family...bharmal called her his choti maa so i guess one of the wives of his father.

yah ..like to glorify jodha they dename Ruqayya sultan...n she was not enemy of jodha like MP was of Akbar..but when we complained every one said the fictional raag

The thing is no one knows about her. There isn't much literature on her.

But MP everyone knows.. like myviewprem pointed out.. some mughal ladies along with Rahim's family were brought by pratap's son Amar singh, Pratap scolded him and safely returned them back..

Rahim was so touched that he refused to fight against the chivalrous MP.. he then later returned and assumed the role of teaching Salim.

MP had all the qualities the Rajputs are generally proud of.

No one knows whether she was good or bad. No incidents where she was known to be kind, generous and caring. Benifit of the doubt. We know about Maharana Pratap.. he was still a hero

yh aap ka khayaal hae...we dont know any thing about jodha but lots if thing about ruqayya from Akbar nama...and tuzke jahangiri,,but no body left to take her side...

There isn't anything in the books that will bring her character to light.

We cannot say we do not have any info on ruqaiah. If you read jehangirnama, akbarnama, shahjahan autobiograhy all say she was a great human and kept family together and helped husband(akbar) step son(jehangir) and shah jahan (grandson) a lot. Now if she were bad atleas jehangir who is step son and shah jahan another step grandson would have mentioned her somewhat in poor light. But they did not or no chronicler (british, french, travellers) tell of her in poor light like they say of ex: Nur Jahan. So we can assume she was good person.
