CHAPTER-8

Jalal walked to jodha...his eyes didn't blink nor cld he take his gaze off her...his gaze gently touched her through and through...he cldn't believe his fate on having her as his wife...he ws sooo lucky to have jodha as his begum and to have dat beauty lying b4 him smiling...he really regretted the way jodha had to take dat wound to save him...bt he will make sure dis is the last time she gets harmed 4 he didn't want to see jodha suffering agn...he sat beside her bed and luked at her eyes intendly ...he wanted to say many thngs bt cldn't...he cldn't find his voice ...he felt guilty 4 all those thngs happened,,some or the other way he ws responsible 4 all dat happened...he wanted to apologise to her to tell her he ws sorry and to make her feel how he felt of all dat bt he cldn't...why???he don't know bt he just cldn't...maybe bcoz he thought some mere apology ws not enough 4 his actions or he feared dat jodha won't forgive him or he didn't wanted to be 4given...he cld feel guilt overriding him bt he let it be as he felt he ws at sin...jodha called out"Shehansha...I'm soo happy dat u r allright"...wen she cldn't get any replies he luked at him intendly...he ws standing a few paces away 4m her luking down not moving...she knew wat she shuld do and started with a serious tone-"and i can see dat u r feeling guilty bt don't blame urself...if anyone is to be blamed den its the attackers and the one who sent thm..."..Then her expression changed to a much serious tone-"tell me who is the one behind all this plot???" ...Dats wen jalal actually thought abt it...who ws the one behind all dis???he know he shuld have luked into it before bt all these days he ws preoccupied with jodha's condition dat he really didn't think abt anythng else...bt this he shuld find abt as he didn't want anothr of this kind of attack...he found jodha's face creasing on his changing expressions...he soothed her-"Jodha begum...u don't need to worry abt any of these thngs...now the only matter of real concern is ur health and ur rest...leave all other things to me..."...Why she don't know bt she calmed at his words and smiled a little..."u really is a gud friend shehanshah"-she thought...

Jalal wanted to talk more to her...to ask how she ws feeling and all and wanted to tell her dat he is there for her...bt before any of this words cld be made anothr knock on the door...BAD TIMING...Dats wen the lady gang showed up with hamida at lead...they were carrying basket full of fruits and other sweets for jodha...JAlal thought here comes the parade...when he didn't want to be beside jodha evryone pushed him to her now wen he really wishes to spent some quality time with her why shuld they interfere????he knew he shuld appreciate their concern and all bt the same time he cldn't stop himself 4m getting mad!!!!!!...ammijaan ws sooo happy to see jodha in a bit of a colour now dat she has opened her eyes hamida felt dat she shuld be with jodha all the time to nurse her...Hamida-"jalal u r still here...adgah sahab ws searching for u to discuss some political issues...now go on...don't worry i will not leave jodha's side and will take gud care of her..."...and hamida sat beside jodha carassing her head lovingly...evryone left ws luking at the saas-bahu duo and smiling...bt jalal ws getting annoyed-"ya ammijaan i know u won't leave her side wen u shuld..."...hamida luked at him sternly...jalal blubbered trying to hide his sarcasm and bitterness-"i mean don't u think she needs rest now...ssooo u all shuld leave her alone 4 sometime..."...jodha who cldn't get the meaning of all this turn of events said-"no shehanshah i have no problm having ammijaan by my side...instd i feel sooo relaxed with her proximity..."...hamida considered this statemnt with a smile and added to jalal-"i will make sure she gets enough rest..."...salima smiled at jalal sympathatically...she ws having some clues on jalal's change...and now watchng all this her doubts were proving ri8...jalal seeing dat he had no othr option thn leaving the chamber bid evryone farewell and luked at jodha who smiled at him warmly...he sighed at his badluck at strodeoff...JODHA FELT STRANGE WEN JALAL LEFT 4M THERE...she knew dat evryone around her including her ammijaan moti and salima begum wld take gud care of her,,,bt something felt missing...she didn't feel complete after his leave...

jodha spent next few hours telling ammijaan and others abt their journey to ajmer...everyone keenly heard her narration...at the end everyone wondered who wld have planned the attack...afterwards jodha told ammijaan-"ammijaan can i ask a favour 4m u???"...ammijaan smiled-"of course jodha beta...u can ask me anything...:"...jodha continued-"i know u wn't allow me to get up...soo if u plzz cld light the lamp in front of my krishna diety i wld be grateful...I know moti wn't have left my side wen i ws sick...i'm sooo sad dat my krishna ws in dark all these days bt now dat i'm awake..."she paused...hamida-"jodha beta ...don't worry abt dat...its true dat moti and I didn't leave u side bt jalal who ws by ur side othrwise took some leaves to light the lamp in ur temple and to pray for u..."..Her head ws high with pride,bcoz of her son's gesture...jodha and moti exchanged glances...both were awestruck...jodha-"shehanshah lit the lamp...how why???really????am i dreaming?? i can't belive my ears...he really did dat???how sweet of him!!!how wrng ws i abt him in the 1st place..."...hamida smiled at her adorable daughter-"its ok jodha beta...I'm sooo happy dat urs and jala's relation is progressing greatly..."...everyone moti,salima,reva,javeda,bakshi bano smiled at this comment except maham who fumed...jodha ws out of the world to hear this news...shehanshah prayed in front of her lord and dat tooo for her...she cldn't control her smiles and tears...later that ni8 wen she dozed off into sleep tooo she ws dreaming of jalal and her sweet moments together...at morning jalal after offering his thanks to Allah went to jodha's temple to light the lamp...he lit it and with folded hands thanked her krishna for letting her in his life and 4 giving her back...thn next he went straight to see his jodha...

jodha ws getting ready...moti had already bathed her and she ws feeling fresh and warm in new clothes...Ammijaan had gifted her with new clothes green one... though she hated dat colour now she has started liking it...afterall it was shehanshah's favourite colour...she smiled at dis thought...moti had went to garden to pluck the flowers for pooja and all...she still had srinkar to do...in the near by table her sindoor ws kept bt it ws a hand away...she had promised moti dat she wldn't leave 4m her bed...thus she tried to lean and get hands on dat sindoor bt accidentlyshe dropped the dippa...bt before the sindoor dippa touched the ground a manly hand catched it and safely folded it in his palms...
