I feel there r few reasons why Hamida has this blind faith on Jodha ..

First she does feel Rajputs r lucky mascot types because a Rajput only gave her shelter in times of crisis because of which they hv survived that time and also since the time Jodha came in Jalal's life , there has been a positive change in Jalal's decision making ... So Hamida feels Rajputs r more like shubh shagun for her and since Jodha is a rajput , so those extra emotions for her as she has blind faither that Rajputs will always remain loyal and can never go wrong or harm anyone ..

Second Hamida feels because Jodha is totally opposite in nature , so she can bring out a positive change in Jalal and make him realise he has a heart too ... All his other begums r more like his ghulam who will do whatever Jalal will order to please him including Ruqaiyya but Jodha does not fall in that category and so Hamida hopes she can transform her heartless son ...

Third Hamida believes only if Jalal starts loving one of his begum , he can become a father because without love ,. even God wont give any child to Jalal and in this case Hamida feels Jodha is the perfect candidate with whom Jalal can fall in love since she will not b one of those ghulam like begums of Jalal who will sit quietly in harem waiting for shehenshah but she will instead make the shehenshah wait for her approval which will eventually make the difference in Jalal's way of thinking about women 😉..So in short Hamida again expects Jodha only can give waaris to this family in the end ...


Fourth Hamida also expects Jodha to get Jalal out of Maham's clurches and bring him close to her real mother ... I know Hamida never verbally expressed her displeasure over how Jalal is more close to Maham than her but on many occasions she did tell Jodha that Jalal is like this because he was brought up by Maham unfortunately ... So Hamida indirectly hinted her displeasure over this and mayb she hopes that Jalal can bring mother-son close and get this Maham away from Jalal ka life since Maham has been a negative influence in Jalal's life in terms of his thought process 🤔...

I guess these r the reasons why Hamida has such blind faith on Jodha because right from start Hamida saw that Jodha never faked anything .. she is quite truthful about her feelings and she is only one in harem who has courage to actually speak about the negatives of Jalal and one who is well aware about a person's negatives can very well make that person realise about his negatives too ... So Hamida expects Jodha to trasform Jalal into a man with a heart 😳

also one reason i can think of is .dat hamida knows that jodha is very different from all the other begums ...neither is she interested in harem politics nor in gaining the superior postion in harem...all these things dont matter to her ...even when rukiya 's pregnancy news came ..many of the begums were burning with jealosy..on the other hand jodha was soo happy on hearing the news..she never wishes or thinks ill of others ..its mostly her nature dat sets her apart the other begums nd that can a very important reason y she is hamida's favourite

I am only talking about the fictionalised Jalal because the real one would've picked up his shamsheer & kalmofied anyone if they even dared to raise their voice at his Ammi Jaan!! 😊

Of course he does!! And Jalal has chosen Jodha as the woman who gives him that Care! Why do you think he wants her to make food for him? Feed him? Sing songs for him? Why does he look so hurt & a little lost, whenever Ruqaiyya viciously draws home the point that "Jodha toh Aapko bhi nahin chahti Jalal,balki woh toh Aapse nafrat karti hain !".. It hurts him right in his chest though he doesn't realise it, and gets all Mughaliya in his anger towards Jodha, but Maham Anga & Ruqaiyya; do.. It isn't only to humiliate her, that is , in part. But the larger reason is that somewhere within him, he knows what stuff Jodha is made of. He knows how compassionate, caring & loving she is besides all her feisty qualities. And he wants her to Care for him.

Ruqaiyya is his best friend, the woman he spars with & has been brought up with, Jodha is his (future) Beloved. And he behaves in markedly different ways with both! 😳

@Alakh: Exactly!!! 😉 All the Emperor's favourites HAD to be shrewd & cunning!!! Even this show, shows glimpses of Jodha's benign cunning albeit of a non-materialized variety.
