Maham: - kahiye...kya jante hai aap humare bte adham khan ke bare me...kaun hai aap??

(he turned and maham was all shocked to see him...her eyes and mouth wide open in surprise but not a pleasant one...he was the same "khaas" soldier of maham with whom she had sent adham to kaabul...and his sudden appearance at this point of time was highly unexpected...he must be in kaabul right now...how come he landed up here then?? ...a storm of thoughts were going on in her mind... she stepped forward maksud*I have given him this name* for seeking explanation of her unanswered questions )

Maham: - (amzed) maksud...tum...is waqt...yahan??...tumhe to adham ke saath kaabul bheja tha na humne...phir tum is waqt yahaan kya kar rahe ho...?? Abhi to do din bhi nahi beete us baat ko...sab khairiyat??

Maksud: - (hesitantly...with his head bowed down) wo ...wo wazir e aliya...darasal(actually) baat ye hai ke aadham khan sahib...wo...

(His gesture and way of speaking...made maham worried like hell...she raised her voice rapidly)

Maham: - aadham...?? aadham kya?? Wo thik to hai na...tum chup kyu ho...bolo kya hua humare bte aadham ko??

Maksud: - wo wazir e aliya...hum kaabul tak pahuch hi nahi paaye...isse pehle ke hum unhe kaabul pahucha paate...adham khan sahib...raste me hi hume chakma dekar farar(abscond) ho gaye...

(His sentence caused maham's temper to go out of bound...her eyes burned with extreme anger...and she slapped him really hard on his face...and as a result he fell down on the floor...she busted out loud in rage...)

Maham: - kya??...kya kaha tumne?? Farar ho gaye??...ek chota sa kaam diya tha use bhi dhang se anjaam nahi de sake tum...tumhe ilm bhi hai ke unki jaan ko kitna khatra hai is waqt?? Itni badi laparwahi kaise ho gayi tumse maksud??...hume tumse ye ummid nahi thi...

Maksud: - (holding his cheek) humari koi galti nahi hai wazir e aliya...raste me unhone humse pani lane ko kaha...hum jhil(lake) se pani bhar hi rahe the ke achanak kisi ne piche se humare sar per waar kiya...aur hum behosh ho gaye...jab aankh khuli to subedar sahib waha se nadarad the...humne dhudne ki bahut koshish ki...par wo kahin nahi mile...

(maham clutched her fist tight and flipped the table in front with her hands in rage...)

Maham:- (frustrated beyond words) ya khuda...kab akal aayegi humare is bevkoof bte ko...kitna samjhaya tha ke mamla thanda hone tak agra to kya uski sarhad ke aas paas bhi dikhayi na de...magar jab kisi ke sar per khud hi marne ka junnon sawar ho to koi kya kar sakta hai...ab pata nahi ye jahiliyat kyu ki adham ne...na jaane kaun si nayi saazish chal rahi hai unke dimag me...ya khuda...unki hifazat karna...jaldi pata lagana hoga...ke akhir adham gaye to gaye kahan??...

(scene shifted to hamida and jodha...hamida took jodha to her(jodha's) room...jodha was extremely terrified that what punishment hamda is going to give her...moti too followed both of them...now all three of them were in jodha's room...)

Hamida: - ye kya baat hui jodha?? Dekhiye beta...aapko kahin bhi jaane ke liye kisi bhi tarah ki paabandi(restriction) nahi hai...lekin agar aapka jaane ka itna hi dil kar raha tha to...kam se kam moti ko to bata hi sakti thi na aap??

Jodha:- (replied innocently) humne bataya tha ammi jaan...bhala esa kabhi ho sakta hai kya ke hum bina bataye kahin chale jaaye...(hamida stared at her angrily...she immediately understood and tried to cover it up...now she looked at moti)...bolo na moti...chup kyu ho??

Moti: - (amazed and confused) hume kab bataya tumne??

(jodha slowly glided her fingers on moti's arm and pinched her hard on her hand...and signaled with her eyes to support her in this...)

Moti: - ahh (she mourned in pain...but quickly changed her expressions)...bataya tha kya??(With a confused expression) ho sakta hai...kadachit hume hi yaad na raha ho...

Jodha: - dekha ammi jaan...humne bataya tha ise jate samay...kintu ye moti bhi na...itni bhulakkad ho gayi hai ke kya kahe...(hamida was not looking convinced yet...seeing this jodha made a sad face and bowed her head down...)...aap sachmuch hume dand dene wali hai kya ammi jaan??

Hamida: - (sternly) ab galti ki hai to saza milna to tay hai jodha...aur aapki saza ye hai... ke aapko humare ek sawal ka jawab dena hoga...

Jodha: - jaisi aapki icha ammi jaan...hum dege uttar... (Still gazing at the ground)

Hamida: - (angrily raising her voice) soch lijiye jodha...hume keval sach sunne ki aadat hai...isliye puri imandari aur sachhe dil se jawab dena hoga... (jodha nodded her head in agreement)

Hamida: - (in a stern voice) to batayiye kya aapko jalal se mohabbat hai??

(jodha was shell shocked at hamida's sudden attack...it took a minute for her to understand what exactly hamida asked...)

Hamida: - (this time louder) boliye jodha mohabbat hai ya nahi??

(jodha got extremely nervous...her heart started racing like an engine...started rubbing her hands in anxiety as this question was highly unexpected and that also from hamida...in nervousness..She shook her head sideways in a no)

Jodha: - nahi...bilkul nahi...

Hamida: - (raising her eyebrows)...nahii?? Iska matalab aapko jalal bilkul pasand nahi...

Jodha: - nahi...matlab pasand hai...matlab nahi hai...matlab... (She was so nervous that said it all in a single stroke...she was so confuse...not getting what to say...)...pata nahi...(with a sigh)

(The most ever horrible expressions on jodha's face caused hamida to bust out loud in laughter...and she started laughing really hard covering her mouth with her hand...jodha was still wearing the same expressions...hamida put her hand on her head affectionately)

Hamida: - (giggling) are hum to mazak ker rahe the meri bachhi...aap to sachmuch ghabra gayi... (Now all smiling)...acha ab sach sach batayiye...mohabbat hai ya nahi??

Jodha: - (her innocent question and way of asking made jodha blush really very hard that she covered her face with her hands in shyness)

Hamida: - ya allah...dono ke dono bilkul ek jaise hai...duniya bhar ki sharmohaya(shyness) jaise in dono me hi sama gayi ho...jodha...(she removed her hands from her face)...bataiye bhi??

(jodha dint respond...just smiling looking down...)

Hamida: - thik hai...jaisi aapki marzi...hum abhi jaker jalal se keh dete hai ke jodha begum ko aapse koi chahat nahi... (And she turned to go...but jodha quickly held her arm...)

Jodha: - nahi ammi jaan...esa mat kahiyega...prem hai...bahut prem hai... (hamida looked at her with a winning smile...that caused jodha's cheeks to go red with the color of blush)

(Hamida held her shoulders and hugged her tight with a kiss on her forehead)

Hamida: - aap nahi janti jodha beta...ke aapne hume kitni badi khushi di hai...hum aaj behad khush hai...allah kare aap dono ka pyar humesha ese hi parvaan chadta rahe...sach humne to kabhi sapne me bhi nahi socha tha ke kabhi jalal ko is kadar badla hua dekhege...kya jaadu kar diya hai aapne humare bte per haan?? (jodha blushed lightly at this...)

Chalo jo bhi hai...humari to aapse yehi ilteja(request) hai...ke ise barkarar rakhiyega...acha jodha...ab hum chalte hai...abhi to safar ki bahut si taiyariya karni baaki hai...

Jodha: - safar??...aap kahin jaa rahi hai kya ammi jaan??

Hamida: - haan beta...hum ajmer sharif ke liye nikalne wale hai kal...waha jaker aap dono ke rishte ki salamati ke liye dua jo karni hai...humne mannat mangi thi ke jis din humare bte ko uski mohabbat mil jayegi...hum unke dar per zarur jayege...yahi baat batane ke liye to dhund rahe the hum aapko...magar aap thi ke...khair jaane dijiye... hum chalte hai...khuda hafiz...

(and hamida left with a wide happy smile on her face...as soon as she left...moti stared at jodha angrily...and dragged her by arm...made her sit on the bed forcefully...)

Moti: - (pinched hard on her hand) hume kab bataya tha tumne...haan??...bolo??

Jodha: - (with her eyes shut)...ahh...choro na moti...dard ho raha hai hume...kyu...tumhare samne hi to bahar gaye the na hum...to isme galat kya bola humne...??

Moti:- (taunting) bahar avashaya gayi hogi humare samne...kintu bahar jaker raas rachane waali ho...iska gyan kaha tha hume...(and finally she left her arm...and looked at her with curiosity...and asked teasingly)...acha jodha...zara hume bhi to batao...esi bhi kya vyakulta thi jo raat tak ka bhi intezaar na ho saka tumse...kaksh ki halat dekhker to lag raha tha...mano yuddh hua ho abhi abhi...(and she started giggling...jodha pats on her head lightly)

Jodha: - dhatt...nirlajj(shameless) kahin ki...

Moti: - (again curiously)...batao na jodha...kya kya hua...kaise hua...shenshah ne tumhe kaha kaha chua...hume to badi utsukta ho rahi hai...batao na...kaha kaha chua shenshah ne tumhe...yahaan... (And she started touching jodha at different places teasingly...jodha was amazed at her shamelessness)

Jodha: - moti?? (Surprised) tum bhi shenshah ki bhanti nirlajj ho gayi ho lagta hai...aur itni hi utsukta ho rahi hai jaanne ki to kuch din pratiksha(wait) kar lo...jab tumhara vivah hoga na...tab swayam hi pata lag jayega...

Moti: - (smiling) waise ek baat kahe jodha...jab mallika e aazam kaksh me aayi tab shenshah ka chehra dekhne wala tha...humari to hansi hi nahi ruk rahi thi unhe dekhker... (And she told jodha about everything that happened...and they keep on talking and giggling...after so many days jodha was laughing her heart out...she was indeed enjoying every moment of her life...)

Jodha: - (laughing loudly) kya kaha tumne moti?? Shenshah ne tumse sahayta maangi...hahahah... (She was laughing out loud when she noticed moti continuously staring at her...)...ab tumhe kya hua achanak se...ese kya ghur rahi ho Hume...hmmm??

Moti: - (having tears in her eyes) bahut dino baad tumhe dil kholker hasta hua dekh rahe hai jodha... (She put her hand on her cheek) sach...hum bahut prasanna hai tumhare liye...ab bus kanha ji se yehi prarthna hai...ke is khushi ko kisi ki nazar na lage...

(jodha got emotional at moti's words...and hugged her tight out of affection...moti's words did had a lot of truth in them...she was indeed feeling light after so many days...and her heart filled with immense joy and happiness...)

(on the other hand...jalal freshen up and started getting ready for Diwan e khaas...but as he was about to call adkha sahib to inform about it...he suddenly remembered about the promise that he did to jodha that before diwan e khaas... he will go and meet rukkaiya...and will solve all the misunderstandings by himself...so he decided to first see ruqqaiya and after that inform adkha sahib about the meeting...he proceeded towards her room...he was very much sure that ruqqaiya will be happy to hear about his love towards jodha...as she was his childhood friend...and somewhere he had a belief that Rukkaiya will surely be happy in his happiness...after all they were close and best friends...and with all these positive thoughts he entered into rukkaiya's room...)
