Yayyy I loved Jodha saying a resounding NO to Jalal...I'm so proud of you Jodha for having NOT agreed to go with Jalal's silly idea👏- I was happy too- i was like thank god

What was a greater relief was that Jalal didn't expect Jodha to give in to his word anyway...he knew her...it was all just an act...i.e. an angry question 'So are you ready to ACT for the sake of my mother NOT having to go to Ajmer?'

Ruqaiyya
Ruq was understandably laughing at the baba's words...I did like watching her peaceful face when she was doing her namaaz. Soon after she faints - ta dum! and We know what happens when an Indian TV actress faints!
The harem ladies gossiping was expected too...
What was yet another pleasant sight in the Ruqaiyya chamber was her real sense of shock/surprise when she hears of her good news...and more so that she wanted to share this news with her best friend - Jalal - no one else!
I wish all of this was not followed by that lunatic laugh of hers though! Grrr 😵 - same here-i was like you just ruined the scene- i was like first time i was feeling happy for her and here she goes again

Jodha
Oh no for all those of you who missed hearing the word 'ghrina' we have it back today 😆- i was thinking same thing here she started with grihna again

Jodha-Jalal
Jodha however looked nothing less than divine doing her pooja while Jalal was doing his exercise in a parallel balcony.- I agree and i was thinking why are you exercising with kurta on-should not you be shirtless but then i was like it's his turn to get lost in jodha and her beauty. hopefully we will get one where jodha sees him shirtless when he is exercising kinda of liek the movie. Her tresses were open and wet and she didn't sport most of the customary jewellery she generally has. Jalal is entranced in her beauty and gets somewhat aware that his concentration on his 'kasrath' was not as strong as hers was in her pooja...Either way, Jodha was the least fazed by Jalal's presence.😆

Another thing I liked here was that she offered the Aarti even to her Mughal maids...and they obliged too...that was sweet.😳
Following this, forced out of courtesy, she takes the Aarthi to Jalal

The whole FAMOUS AARTHI scene commences with Jalal reminiscing Mainawati's Aarti/Tilak! And what follows is confusion muddled with the signature Jalal mischief! Initially, Jalal didn't know what to do with the Aarti. So, he first bows his head to accept the Tilak. Jodha stares at him wondering what he was doing till she realizes what was happening. - if i saw the scene correctly, he even points to his forehead with his two fingers from his left hand while holding his hair from right hand. It's like telling her put tilakbec 1st time when he bent down it was not enough for her so he had to show with other hand.
'This is not a Tilak thaali, but an Aarthi thaali' she clarifies 'An Arti is meant to be accepted by hand'
So, Jalal then genuinely proceeds to take the plate from her
She holds on to the plate firmly 'This king knows nothing of our customs' she thinks to herself mildly irate and then says 'I'll show you'
He'd realized what was happening and then lets her take the lead, but never allows her to complete what she was setting out to do...playing along with her...the two have a little match of their hands...a sort of a an artistic game...
Jodha doesn't know how to play along, but Jalal has his moment of fun with Jodha - testing her Shraddha and having his way with the fire on the Arthi thaali.
His mischievous expressions were worth watching!
His smile after she leaves can be discussed at length too...the black soot on his hands and how he repeats the Arthi action after she leaves...all of it might carry significance or may just be his playfulness...nevertheless, it was all a treat!

This whole scene is nothing short of OUTSTANDING very novel...yet very believable...-i agree with you completely.

Jalal-Ruqaiyya
'What can you do for me?' Ruqaiyya asks Jalal as he strides into her chamber grimly
'Is this why you called me first thing in the morning for?' he asks, slightly irked
'But there's never been a morning so beautiful till date' she replies happily

Jalal's expression on learning of his Begum's truth was beautiful...genuine happiness in the faces of both parents-to-be!
That scene (though not as mesmerizing as the Arthi scene prior to this) was quite heart-whelming
I only wish Ruqaiyya didn't taint a spell of genuine happiness with her repeatedly mentioned aspirations to become the powerful Queen Mother!!!!-I agree with entire thing.

MA
I loved how MA makes fun of her bahu sooo sarcastically... MA's bahu is coming up with her very own explanations as to why Jalal having his waaris is good for Adham Khan..and here MA is biting her tongue wondering from where she managed to find such a specimen-of-a-daughter-in-law! LOL

Jodha refusing Jalal inspite of the KASAM...though not something right ...coz is she refuses he dies according the beliefs..lolll and those days this was serious stuff!...BUT not complaining!
Refusing Jalal...way to go Jodha...GOOD GIRL!
-----
The aarti scene was fab...superb scene it was...with Jala being the innocent and naughty one..and Jodha givign him the "ur hopeless" look!
I agree with u...the scene was gorgeous!
special mention to him raising his fingers to point fot the tilak...and taking the thaali away...cuteness overload Jalal..!
-----
I hate how they play around wiht Ruqaiya character...one minute she has tears of happiness and thnks God heartily for listening to her...the very next minute she is like Ma toh koi bhi ban sakta hai...UFFF! Just loses the whole effect.
More than Ruqaiya... i liked Jalal...those brimming tears...awww...as an emperor he has a very soft corner...and all these small aspects really touches tht corner. Best part of the scene to me was how Jalal stated that even if its nto a boy...and its a girl..i will rasie her with the same love..and she will get all the happiness...DAMN...he is just so goood..! he truly deserves a lady like Jodha in his life!
-----
Precap..lolll...again Jodha ends up looking mahaan and Ruqaiya a lame person...Whyyy...typical saas bahu stuff!

Awesome post Lashy!!!
Jodha was definitely looking divine duing the Tulsi puja.
And Ruquaiya begum is too blatant in her actions and whole harem knows her in & out, it seems😕.
