(Jala and Jodha are both 11)

Jodha's Pov
"Mum please" I said to my mother with the best puppy dog face I could make "I promise I won't get in trouble"
"Fine" she sighed "but you have to keep your dasis next to you"
I'll just distract them and run away I thought, it was pretty easy last time.
"And you better not run away from them like you did last time." my mum said giving me the I-know-what-you-were-thinking look
"I would never do that mother" I said innocently, I'll just distract them.
"Of course you wouldn't" she said with a knowing smile, "you should get ready, if you leave now you'll get back before dark"
"Ok" I said as I ran to my part of the castle.
My dasis started to dress me for the occasion, a simple white suit the normal village girls wore.
I can't wait for fair!

Jalal's Pov
"Badi ammi can I go to the fair?" I asked her as she cleaned around the house.
She looked up for a second before saying "jalal, it's not safe"
"Alright" I said trying not to look disappointed.
Which I hadn't done a good job of because badi ammi sighed "ok Jala, but only for an hour"
I smile as I ran up to badi ammi and gave her a hug "thank you!"
She smiled as she pulled away for the hug "but you can't go by yourself, take some servants with you"
"Ok" I said as I went to my room to get ready.
"And remember don't tell anyone who you are" she said to me as I walked into my room.

Jodha's Pov
Operation distract dasis was a success, all I had to do was say I was going to the bathroom. I looked around the fair, what to do first. I could watch the performers, buy something, or go on a horse ride. My eyes settled on a boy about my age sitting on the ground, he looked somewhat sad and left out.
I walked next him and sit down, he looked at me with a questioning look. He had dark brown clouded eyes, his hair was slightly curly from the ends, and he wore a simple white suit, quite like mine.
"Hi! I am" I paused for a second. I couldn't tell anyone who I really was, so I said the first name I could think of "Punandavati. What's your name?" I asked him with a big smile.
He gave me a small smile and replied with " Jahan"

Jalal's Pov
Where are they I thought as I looked around, as soon as I stepped into the fair I had lost track of my servants. I guess I'll just have to wait for them to show, I thought as I sat down.
I looked at everyone laughing and having fun. I looked at the mothers and fathers playing with their children and remembered my own. I didn't belong here, I don't even know why I asked badi ammi to go here.
My thoughts were disturbed when someone sat beside my, I turn to look and saw a pretty girl. She had long hair in a neat braid, soft brown almond eyes, and pink little lips. "Hi I am Punandavati. What's your name?" She asked me with a smile.
I gave her a small smile in return, I didn't know why but I felt like I could trust this girl.
" Jahan" I replied, I felt guilty for lying to her, but I had to listen to what badi ammi said.



I just wrote this when I was bored and I am not sure what I should do with it. Should I continue it?

Chapter One, A Lair Like Me
(Six years later)

And like that a friendship started between two liars, with jodha talking and Jala listening. They would talk about anything under the sun, from swords to poetry. Jala would teach jodha how to better her sword skills and she'd teach him how to read and write. As the years pasted their friendship grew stronger, but along with their friendship something else also grew.

Jala's Pov
"I was waiting here for the past hour, what took you so long?!?" said Punandavati (Jodha) with her adorable angry pout.
"Sorry, Mum wanted me to run some errands" I said saying the first lie I could think of.
"Your mum, or some girl?!" She said while puffing and crossing her arms over her chest.
"Are you jealous?" I asked with a small smirk.
She looked taken back for a second before she said "of course not, no one can steal my best friend away from me"
I felt a pang in my heart when she said best friend. That's all I'd ever be to her, a best friend, but I wanted something more than that.
The guilt of lying to her was starting to eat me alive, but I didn't want her to hate me. I was too selfish, I just wanted her to be in my life.
I have her a fake smile and said "you got that right"
She gave me her beautiful smile in return, but the little spark in her eyes was missing.
She was beautiful and innocent villager, where I was the ruthless king. We didn't belong together, and besides she wouldn't love a lair like me.

Jodha's Pov
Where is he I thought as I paced around on the grounds of the fair, the same fair where we met six years ago. 'What if something happened to him?' A little voice in my head asked. No, I am just over acting.
My thoughts were disturbed when someone patted my shoulder, I turned around and saw him, Jahan (Jalal). He looked amazingly handsome, as normal in his simple villager clothes. No jodha don't let his hotness distract you.
"I was waiting here for the past hour, what took you so long?!?"
"Sorry, Mum wanted me to run some errands" He said simply, don't stare at his lips jodha, don't do it.
"Your mum, or some girl?!"
"Are you jealous?" He asked with a small smirk.
I let out a small gasp. Yes I was, but I couldn't tell him, all I was to him was his best friend "of course not, no one can steal my best friend away from me"
He gave me a smile that didn't reach his eyes and said "you go that right"
At that moment I wanted to tell him everything, but I was too selfish. I just wanted him in my life.
So I just smiled back at him.
I didn't deserve him, he deserved better than a lair like me.
