Guilty as charged, Ameilia, but do look also at what
you make me do ! 😉I was in bad shape last night, for on top of my bandaged wrist, I also had red, watering eyes from what looks to be a solid case of conjunctivitis, I literally dragged myself across the finishing line even later than usual because of that, ending up at 2:40 am. But I am so fond of all of you that I had to do it, not because I am puffed up about my posts, but because I thought you and some others would be waiting for it. It is like an umbilical cord, and this in just 5 weeks! Unbelievable, but true.
As for your very perceptive comments, I would buy all of them, with one reservation. As for '.the women fight with words, fire😉,other kitchen utensils, maybe even daggers to command their respect and importance too", yes, they do. But a princess owes it to herself and her upbringing to fight like a princess, and not like a fishwife at the market. .
I thought the first thing royalty was taught was self control. And self control is tested only in extreme circumstances. Jodha's was, and found totally wanting. Sun29's alternative for her, or Sonya, would have been perfect, while making the same point of rejection of the gift.
Yes, a woman's honour should be more important than her life, but it is not her life which is at stake her, but those of all the Amervasis.
@blue. I agree wholeheartedly, except that Jalal, by now, is no longer a destroyer, If he had still been one, there would have been only a smoking ruin where Amer once was.

As for Jodha burning her joda then i am not surprised.Jodha is not your typical royalty. This woman has some serious anger issues.Quite frankly i am not astonished by her inability to see the bigger picture. At that moment she coulfnt comprehend what the hell was going on around her.She never thought she was going to be deceived by her own family. She never thought her groom is none other that Jalaluddin Muhammed the man she vowed that will pay for stealing from her mandir and heard about his cruelty.
At that moment all she could think about was this barbaric and notorious man who she called Jallad now trying to stake his claim on her.She never had a reason or a person who praised Jalal. So how can she accept him as her husband.Jodha is out with a vengeance that is why she was willing to marry any man who was ready and brave enough to stand up to Jalal.I cant blame for her burning her wedding attire. Her life is shattered, broken to pieces...nothing seems beautiful anymore and now to rub in it just after her ultimate shock she has to plaster a fake smile on her face and accept wholeheartedly.I think whatever she wanted to do with the gift should have been down privately but anger waits nor cares for no man.At that spur of the moment she was hell bent on destroying anything of Jalal's even if its his gifts. Many will argue she could have handled the situation better and not upset the Shehenshah but Jodha wants to send a message and she definitely did.She retaliated with the only way she knew how at that instant.
Men fight in the battlefield for their honour and pride...the women fight with words, fire😉,other kitchen utensils, maybe even daggers to command their respect and importance too.
Jalal thinks he is victorious by the defeating look on Jodha's face. The biggest mistake he makes is underestimate the power and endurance of a woman like Jodha. She will adjust and compromise her life for her family but a woman's honour is more important than her life.
I believe now the testing and the beginning of a new chapter. For Jodha to change from her fairytale world she has to realise the harsh realities of life.Jalal needs to understand the real meaning to be a Emperor.A ruler doesnt have to be a destroyer. For Jodha to understand Jalal she needs to breathe the same air as him.For Jalal to understand Jodha he needs to be willing to explore.
