You must have read the PS to my next post, on the Tuesday night episode. I am now not at all sure what to think of Sharifuddin, Maybe it is a case of 'those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad'. Let us see,

I thought the same about Sharifuddin, but Chughtai Khan's comment yesterday made me do a rethink - you must have read the PS to my The Emperor Strikes Back post of last night. Jalal clearly told Sharifuddin that both Amer and its shehzadi Jodha taarif ke kabil hain. After that very clear indication, would the subordinate of an absolute ruler with a quick temper risk riling the Emperor by trying to get hold ot the princess his lord and master is interested in? I simply cannot believe it.

Do you suppose Sharifuddin drops that hint as part of a preplanned exercise to panic Chughtai Khan into going to Bharmal and coaxing him to go to meet the Shahenshah? Sounds very conspiratorial, but it is more plausible than the idea of Sharifuddin even thinking of poaching on the Emperor's territory.

I will always PM you when I write a post, so that you do not have look for them. My mother does not keep very well, so I cannot start my post till she has retired for the night, and it takes me a long time to type and then to edit it. I have never typed till I retired, for as an ambassador for my last 16 years in the diplomatic service, I always used to dictate my letters and reports, which means that I cannot type fast.

Well, enough of these laments. So Sharifuddin tells Jalal that he had not seen Jodha, is it? I must be mistaken, and I would go by your recollection. In any case, as I wrote to you above, I cannot believe that he would take so big a risk when he knew clearly that Jalal was interested in her, and it makes no difference whether he wanted to marry her or not as far as Sharifuddin is concerned.

That is why I asked you whether you though the whole drama of squeezing Bharmal and also dropping that hint to Chughtai Khan about his having an lecherous eye out for Jodha, was done by Sharifuddin to push CK and then Bharmal, into taking the route they eventually did. What do you think? I rewatched yesterday's episode, and I did get the impression that Jalal and CK were operating in tandem.

I do not seem to get even a fraction of my regular sleep quota these days. It is ridiculous at my advance age, to develop such an addiction to posting in the IF, par kya karein, yahan dil lag gaya hai!

I refuse to believe that Sharif wanted Jodha for himself...If EK is showing this then it is a huge blunder on her part...We are talking abt medieval kings and Jalal. Surely he must know that Jalal is interested in Jodha...

Again you are mistaken that Shirfu has seen Jodha...He has not yet...That guy was different...Plz go to the video of JA of 20th june...Shirfu clearly tells Jalal that he has heard abt Jodha's beauty but never seen her.

BTW Do you ever sleep?

Shyamala I feel things are going very smoothly for Jalal...Sharif is also just squeezing money from Bharmal...Out of blue CK suggests maggiage, how did he know that Shahenshah would not mind marrying a kafir? What if Jalal had felt offended and Bharmal was ready for Marriage? ...Do you think Ck would have dared to put proposal of nikah with a Kafir in front of whole Rajsabha present?
