See. I have a feeling Ekta is trying to portray the Rajputs as innocent victims only to highlight the supposed contrast between the mindsets of Jalal and Jodha. The same old story about the angelic girl and the ruthless warrior-sorta thing. And the Rajput section of the show will not last for long, so, they are introduced only to focus on how Jodha comes from an entirely different world and all that. Anything for a dramatic romance, my friend. 😆

ur damm right

When Mughal invaders first came to India, there were forced conversions to Islam (Which is the biggest reason they were hated and see as outsiders). Some Indian rulers could be cruel too, but it never came to religion, priests etc, were never killed. Temples were never looted or destroyed. Religion is a sensitive issue for everyone. Probably that is why they were more hated at that point of time and even today by some.

The truth is they did have a code of honor that was higher then the Mughals... 'cuz they would mostly burn down everything after the defenders lost.. That was there code, it was different and bloodier.

It isn't exactly about what Ekta is trying to portray. The Mughal war practices were far more barbaric and the problem with the hindu rulers was they would keep fighting each other. There was no unity among them.

I felt the same honestly...I feel that Mughals are shown as brutal people and Muslims are shown as wayy too harsh/racist and cruel at a times while the Rajputs are shown as the weak and powerless ones..This was not the actual case..In that era everyone was like that regardless of the religion or background..I love this show too..I am already quite hooked to this show..Rajat is doing a great job and Jodha is just soo pretty...They will definitely have amazing chemistry..Almost all the lead pairs of EK shows have great chemistry and here we have Rajat who is a good actor and Paridhi who is a pretty and graceful girl...But like someone else said I also feel that maybe EK is doing the typical thing of making the hero(Akbar) wayy too brutal so that when the strong heroine (Jodha) comes and melts his heart and tranforms him into ''Akbar'' from Jalal it will leave greater impact on the audience..:)

I guess more than hindu and muslim thing..it is fact that akbar's kingdom was quite vast and expanding so they are shown more expansion stuff therfore such behaviour which is obvious if you are expanding whereas Rajputrs are only concerned abt their area so it only heroes and victim stuff
plus I guess Akbar's palace as more politics so even if he is being good wth ppl his fellow whatever they are called are the reason why he is being portrayed completely cruel...like in today's
Akbar's mom is shown nice...she even allows diwali celebration so we can't say muslims being portrayed cruel and rajputs victim
