Honestly, I'm not expecting much history out of this show at all. For one, there is no accurate historical account of akbar, there is even a speculation as to if Jodha was even his wife. So all in all, I would just suggest to not worry so much about the historical aspect since it's all very ambiguous. I don't even know that much about him, but as far as mughal emperors go, they were all pretty ruthless. Sure akbar had his moments of kindness, but as an emperor who had conquered so much land, that kindness can only go so far. I am just hoping that Ekta doesn't make it completely ridiculous and keeps it entertaining. Other than that, I'm just looking forward to rajat and everyone's else's acting and portrayals in the show.

look akbar was not a kind hearted king initially. i dont know about the ruthless thing, but he was a power hungry king in his initial days. he was misguided by bairam khan. later on he became akbar the gr8. so ekta kapoor is not totally wrong. besides acc. to the rajput version akbar was a cruel king. so there r diff. versions about the character of akbar. so its better to show both positive & negative sides of akbar.

p.s.:- the film is also not the ultimate history. well the film showed luv story of jodha akbar, but there is no such proof about the love story & also there r questions about the existence of jodha.

i agree with ur opinion on the episode..

but yeah there are few proofs that says akbar was a cruel king at the start.. now u can either say because of bairam khan or no.. but yes he wasnt that generous..

all the history stories and proofs to say akbar was good king etc etc was in his later ages.. even in high-school text books whatever we have learnt it was in his late 40's.. not as a early king..

but how far "jodha" turned him into a good hearted person is a mystery.. cause even i tried my hand on research i couldnt find much! so i dont know.. hence lets leave it up to cvs.. and dont forget its under ekta's banner.. all sorts of emotional dramas will be ther :P

once again all our hopes are high.. and Rajat is already doing a Splendid job on his part.. rest Cvs responsibility.. and pls dont go interms of "Jodha akbar" movie.. whatever characterization they did was according to the character akbar had become after 30's.. but they showed it in his early age..

im sure ekta has done much of research on her part.. after all Balaji telefilms literaly rules Indian Tv .. isnt it ? so lets hope for the best then! :)

I am glad that you agree.. and it is true that they are showing Akbar in a bit negative way. But I don't think his religion has anything to do with it. cv's are just trying to add more masala to the story and showing Akbar in a negative shade will eventually create more scopes for Jodha to transform him into a generous person.. After all that's what the story is about.

@ Dikshi92
agree with u totally.. i m a student of history and always find Akbar as the great & tolerant king...when Akbar gets to know abt Bairam khan's deed he decides to rule Hindustan himself...and frm then he always tried to maintain harmony btwn religions...yeah he wanted to expand his territory & for that many wars has been taken place... but this doesn't indicate that he was cruel or something like that...Even every king of the history always tries to conquer new country...

When Prithviraj Chauhan came on star plus i was student of class 10...and I was so enthusiastic
abt him I decided to study on history...we find Prithviraj Chauhan as a Lover Kind &great ruler...it is also true that he went on "DIKHVIJAY"... so can we term him a cruel,as he also caused death of so many Rajput Warriors...?

F
inally whatever may come in the show I am going to watch this Show cause My favorite Rajat is in this show... love u rajat...Welcome back..
