Kailash Kher doesnt have a voice suited for playback, yet he provides versatility to bollywood music... i believe thats the path Toshi is heading. Even the thought of this excites me as i believe their genre of music/singing is one of the most soulful. Once Toshi grips a better control of his vocals, he'll be a star to watch out for!
Regarding Toshi's sargams and harkats, I think sonu said it very well in SVOI: "aap jaise singers ke jholi mein bahut saari cheeze hai...sambhalti nahin hai. Har harkat har gaane mein suit nahin karti..lekin aapki apni awaaz hai aapko bahut kaam milega aage chal ke". 😃

Yes, simply because songs aren't resticted to the hero's voice. For example, Kailash Kher was perfect for the POW's bhangra in Amrit Sagar's "1971" (a great movie but a total flop at the box office because the public will accept nothing but Bollywood pap). Toshi will not lack for work.

I don't understand it either though some of the points raised by people are right... (When you are classically trained.. one should not overuse your training/talent in one song... because I understand that sometimes one feels the need to prove that he/she is a good singer.. and most of the time Toshi does that which doesnt go in his favour.) .. Having said that ... I think he is one of the best finds in VOI plus with a few other contestants....N I think some of the people are disappointed w the fact that he is not being able to perform the way he did in VOI...

Everyone knows he had an accident... Not just a fall.. When one is hit with Hammer and knives ...you wouldnt even expect the person to survive...and he is standing there... which itself is a huge thing according to me... you dont get second chances.. However I think he shouldn't have participated in any of the following up competitions and should have waited till he fully recovered... I am not his lawyer.. neither I am saying that people should like him... But the discussions held in posts and taking potshot at the contestant might not sit well with fans... It wont sit well with anyone if we started taking potshots at anyone's favorite contestants...When making a comment/remark have something to back it up with not something baseless.(I read in one of the post that he needs to learn what music is..).. Are we well versed with music as much other senior who where present at the wild card entry at VOI..

Here is the article on toshi's accident
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/Budding_singer_Tosh i_Sabri_assaulted_in_Mumbai/articleshow/2681762.cms

Most probably I will be hearing thing such "things people do to save their favorite"..I have always said this... In competitions if one sings well then appreciate it ..doesnt matter if they are your favorite... and If one doesnt sing well... dont defend them.. it might not be their day...but dont bash or comment on others to bring your favorites up..

I totally agree with you. His accident was no fall, yet people seem to have disregarded it completely. I guess people are right when they say the public have a very short memory. Maybe by accepting the invitation of jjws he was trying to show his attackers that noone can stop him from singing, which is admirable. However i dont believe he has fully recovered and that is coming through in his performances. Anywayzzz...all the best to Toshi!

^^^^ both

No one is disregarding or forgetting Toshi's accident incident in near past. If he has not fully recovered completely than he should not take part in a contest. He is not being fair and honest to himself when he knows he is not 100%. My best wishes in his full and speedy recovery 😃
