Shekhar’s Words...

Shekhar has always said that Amey is a very talented singer and that he was in even BEYOND this competition...

He said that Amey should have been in the Champions from day one..and that the Krazzy 4 song was a very ordinary song for Amey..

Also, he said that Amey ki awaaz sabse zyaada tyaar hai playback singing ke liye!!! I respect Shekhar soo much for his words, because at one point they were competitors and its not easy to praise a past opponent.. 👏


The only thing I wonder is that how come Vishal-Shekhar never signed Amey for singing...not just VS ...for that matter no music director has signed him...not even Anu Malik who praised him so much during Indian Idol and he even quit the show when Amey was eliminated...then how come he didnt sign Amey either 😕


I feel very bad for Amey..I was reading one of interviews and he was asked that how come Anu Malik never made Amey sing for his movies...and Amey said very humbly that he had no expectations from Anu Malik and he knows for a fact that Anu Malik will never sign him...I wonder why he said that. His talent is a gift from God...and its quite unfortunate how people realize that but still wont help him out...


What's ur take on this??? Why are Music Directors reluctant to give chance to newcomers...with of course a few exeptions 😊 😊

shekhar and my...competitors??/evn i lked amey alot during II ,i so wanted him and karunya to enter semifinals.

i dint c the episode whr shekhar said it! but ya i do remember anu praising ameya! he has got a good voice! but to get into the industry u need to be extra ordinary...smthn like shreya or sunidhi or in the more recent times anwesha n aish in cu! all these reality shows wen they tak plac the praises from the judges mak u feel as if they will immediately sign the contestants! but tht never happns! the set voices in the present industry are a result of a lotta hardwork almost double than wat these contestants do! if gettin into the industry was tht easy the industry wud b flooded wid new singers evry week! as far as reluctance goes the good MD's always identify good talent! saying on a relaity show tht the contestant has a good voice doesnt mean signin him! its jus a way of encouragin!

N to b very frank i dun find any of these contestants apart from rahul n abhijeet dedicated! the kind of dedication required seems to lack though v all have favs!

anu malik is hardly heard of these days...how will he give a chance to anyone when he himself is not getting much work to do 😉

Vishal and Shekhar offered Amey a 3 year contract last year in November, Amey did not take the offer cos he wants to earn money performing on stage, cos if he is bound by the contract he can't do any shows. They were very kind to him and understood his situation since he is the only earning member.

However I still feel Amey got a raw deal in JJWS... if he was not forced to sing Krazzy 4 by the channel he would have still been there 😕

I think it's not just MD's call when it comes to film music.... producer and director are also involved while making the choices... so even if a music director chooses some new and upcoming singer.... they have to convince director and most importantly the producer who is putting his money in the project....

Shreya Ghoshal was very lucky that SLB had faith in her..... so the promise has to come from a producer/director rather than from a music director 😊

really? how do you know bout the contract thing..? actually VS are really nice i think...and i guess amey was stupid for rejecting their offer 😕

and as far as being all that for being in the playback industry ....then Amey is extra ordinary 👏

I don't think you visited the Indian Idol section when Amey was a contestant. I used to give all the updates about his performances, he is my hubby's friend I know Amey since 1999 😛

No 😆 cos I feel they might have something good in store for him, but ultimately it was his decision. I wasn't really happy 😕 but after knowing certain conditions like the earnings would be 40% for him and 60% for whoever who signs him. I think he made a wise decision.
