because it is a highly subjective thing to say one sang it better than the
original and these so called 'judges' who are supposed to be objective
by definition can easily refrain from uttering such comments. Now one
creative person does have the right to criticize another's work if in the
same field but comparing it to a novice is kind of insulting. The original
singer would have made the song what it is while these contestants use
the original to further improve their own rendition. Sort of like how
multiple editing sessions can help improve the lamest of all essays. Now
of course the latter may sing it better than the former but the fact
remains that had the original singer not sung the song the way he did,
these singers would not have been able to put their own take on it.
Following is easier than leading!think of it in terms of a painting .... say
mona lisa.... now no matter how many art students paint the same thing,
they wld be using the original as a guide hence it would never be fair to
actually say that they painted it better than the original coz they used the
original's help ... Now if the singer himself (Kailash Kher here) had said
such a thing, it wld not have looked insulting at all.thats all ! .... hope my
rambling explanation make some sense 😆

I don't think Vishal meant it to insult Kailash kher. I thought it was more
to show appreciation for the completely different way in which Vineet
sung it and made it his own. If you listen to Vineet's version you will see
the many changes that he has made to it and still sounded brilliant.
I was actually glad that Vishal said that because to attempt such a hit
song with such a different style and still excel in it deserves
encouragement.

I thought that Vineet and Abhijeet were the best on May 24. Abhijeet sang
the song very calmly and I really liked the sargam he took after the first two
lines. The effect was amazing.
Vineet was brilliant, as usual 😊 I love kailash kher and I did not once miss
him when Vineet was singing. His range was mighty, breath control was
fantastic and expressions were perfect. Loved his performance. 👏
I though Rahul and Harshit were very good too. 😊
Debo, himani and ishmeet's performances faded compared to the rest.
On the whole, it was a good day for music. 👏

i think abhijeet's performance was the best...n its true that u can see his honesty reflect in his singing thats y its been consistent whereas for harshit he seems too up himself and that attitude again reflects in his singing n it seems like too much effort which makes the singing somewat not enjoyable and with rahul i mean his singing is good n all but his natak is just too much n he tries n says big things like " sangeet ke saath nainsafi nahi kar sakta" but the voting for himani n all that wat farah said is true ....so all in all i think abhijeet deserves to win this as his singing is sooo effortless and it touches the heart n theres not one bit of attitude in him even though he was the first ever champion in a musical reality show in india...n its this humble factor in him that connects with audience n if theres one truly deserving winner its AHIJEET SAWANT

After Harshit gets frequent standing ovation from VS and after he gets 5 30's he does not need any certificate from anybody who is the best. VS are not music listeners or learner's like us. They are creators of music. Their views and opinions are to be respected not contested.
