But somehow I felt he actually did not hear anything! He just saw Chomu and J having a conversation and guessed that Chomu must be convincing her to go with him...so he interrupted..

No, I think he did hear what they were talking about cuz of the TIMING of his interruption....JhaVi simply generally talking to each other wouldn't have made Ani whisk Vihaan away from there ......he seemed like he wanted to interrupt Jhanak ka train of thought inclining towards going with Vihaan....lol
