Simply doing his duty towards Arshi ka baccha doesn’t prove anything about what his priority is. He is just trying to juggle the baggage in his life to the best of his ability. The cheap story has put him in an impossible position.

It's not about whether he loves J or not...

It's clear Ani doesn’t have any romantic feelings towards Arshi. But it's about his trust and priorities. He has blind trust in Arshi, when ever both girls needed him, he prioritized Arshi over Jhanak.
