...Ani ka health has always been a driving force to bring J to him...so yes...they will use his health issues to bring her back to him in future..

Dude.....the environment around aditya in imlie was totally opposite to that of Ani in this show. Aditya had his WHOLE FAMILY to back him up .....he had IMLIE to back him up. Of course she found the new love interest .....we hated her for it. Still the makers made sure that she is still fighting for the truth and save aditya and his family . She did saved aditya from future violations of malini.....uski kadar mujhe aaj ho rahi hai the way arshi is treating Ani. Shayad Malini bhi aisa hi karti adi ke sath.

Here no a single freaking soul is in Ani's favour including jhanak. Ani ko asliyat pata chal bhi jayegi tab bhi he would not be able to kick her out of his life kyuki uski family hi ghatiya hai .....including good bose gang. Jhanak ki Tarah bhashan dete hai par Ani ki izzat ke liye koi khada nahi hota.

You need to understand the difference that family dynamics played huge role in imlie .....yaha iss show main 2 takke ki loser family hai Ani ki who treat him like a slave just like didi. So it's better if she dies .... nahi toh kabhi alag nahi hone dengay rc ko Ani se .

Rishta is I guess unique in that sense but if you see…cos it was a long running show where they were able to show some story but accompanied by the family ties and resultant problems

I know... she's just trying to lure audience back and buy some more episodes... These newly bought audience will soon leave when they will realise that she is upto nothing positive this time also!

If she intended for generational leap really, she should not have shown J and Arshi related by blood! Moreover, as you said, the story is not suitable as a family drama...and I believe she doesn't intend to show family drama...she will be back to her usual tactics within 2/3 weeks..

...ye sab na karke had she shown Arshi paying for her karma and Runak gradually reuniting, trp would have returned automatically..
