AND Leena’s writing so muddled that we aren’t able to see an Oscar level worthy negative character being written and portrayed? Where is the gap? 😂😂😂😂

Yup 100 percent agree to what you said yar ..this show was over for Ani the moment they made rape as Ani ki drunken mistake ..and rapist as victim and bechari ..with no hope of them reversing this narrative....if base is rotten nothing makes sense anymore...it's painful to watch Ani at this point.. begging her to stay ..he folded his hands to beg her to stay ...she is calling him fraud oh the irony ...she is his biwi and bachhe ki maa is repeated every episode multiple times ..I could not watch helpless Ani just broken when he was stuck between paapi pet and his inability to do anything for jhanak ..the way she said chup was soooooooo triggering..it was demeaning pro max...and poor guy has lost so much confidence he couldn't say anything....she is not only asking him for sex ..she is asking him to say ILU .its painful to watch Ani like this ...I am absolutely disconnected with show at this point coz if Arshi is not called rapist and is worshiped everything else is absolute BS...

Jhanak is faking memory loss...it's clear from her expressions in promo and at end of episode...she doesn't want to reveal her past ....

This story is about a man cursed to love a woman who destroyed him and didn't even look back ...I wish they killed Ani and got it over with than killing him slowly from mind body soul every single day

I am truly unable to understand HOW confidently they are going through with it..like how can they call a rape being victims drunken mistake and vilest woman on earth being called an achhi aurat bechari jo maa banne ka dard jhel rahi hai ...I actually have no words to explain how are they getting away with this ..who is their target audience.....people with amnesia .. comprehension problem..I can't believe they are doing this

Ani will never say I l u again to Arshi - I hope. But you never know. I don't think he ever was in love with Arshi. Even if he thought he was, I dont think he knew her to that extent.

Leena uses dialogs like this to aggravate the viewers intentionally. She feels when viewers are outraged there is more engagement. From the aag track - aadha shaadi, repeated pathni, biwi, dialogs were not for audience pleasure. Her style is aggravate, upset, deliver the unexpected and toxic. So far she got trp with this style. Now she will continue to aggravate in diff ways. In spite of not like Runak track, everyone is still following. No one is going anywhere. Everyone is waiting for Runak and she will still not fully give Runak but continue to give lolipops.

she is “ ww temporarily” — how stupid does that sound if that’s the aim cos as an audience we know who Arshi is from the get go…Arshi knew pretty much in the very start Ani’s affiliation for J…character sketches don’t wait for the episode count… they move because the Act is upon them, the situation is upon them…Arshi acting clueless or dumb now has no locus standii in the plot. The problem is Leena has butchered and mutilated her leads at prime moments that the doubt has been created in the minds of even loyal fans of a characters in how to read them.

I will give an example to illustrate this… The day Arshi came to drop her announcement, naturally it requires no intelligence to decipher how shockingly the development would be received by Jhanak… it doesn’t matter that she is the one who asked Sirji to be with Arshi all along…. it doesn’t matter how much fans blame J for taking this position, the fact remains the narrative hasn’t ever been coy about Jhanak’s pride ( it doesn’t matter if it is hypocritical or not) in Sirjee’s love for her…It was evident at various junctures and the viewers shouldn’t have any doubt about. Jhanak’s duality wasn’t a secret that yet on the day the baby announcement took place, the viewers only saw a Jhanak perched on the moral high ground… followed by a private 2 min meltdown….. Leena killed the essence of Jhanak’s character in that moment by taking away focus from J’s emotions or turmoil at an important point in the story..The announcement by Arshi ( however vile the twist be) was meant to be a mirror to the traits of the two individuals Ani - responsibility and J - her struggle with moral dilemma and her heart’s desire. Ani would have taken responsibility of the kid in any form, marriage or no marriage but since they wanted the wedding to take place, they put J at the same point where she found herself post intimacy and her assumed indifference of Ani ( then the narrative was based on conjecture) Jhanak has come a long way since then…If the writer wants me to believe that Jhanak only thought about the moral dilemma at the time of the announcement… I refuse to buy it. Unlike pre intimacy, this Jhanak was brazen enough to tell Didi that I can take this all away from you if I so wish.. yet the writers wished to situate J at that same point. I am not saying J would have fought for Ani when Ani himself accepted it could have happened but Jhanak had to come down her perch a couple of notches..Jhanak’s shock at the development should have been the focus at that stage… Simply for the sake of showing that Ani will marry only if J will tell him to…… Leena rendered an important phase of the story bereft of any sense…..

All for keeping Arshi as Ani’s wife. Jhanak choosing an easier option is a no brainer… her walking away isn’t the point at all..She would have done that cos she has unrealised issues around the tag of home breaker or characterless or whatever shit that it is but atleast the viewers would have some empathy for J’s position if they showed a Jhanak reflecting on the magnitude of what hit her.

the problem is when you exaggerate a characteristic beyond believable levels it renders the narrative ineffective.

I am supposed to buy an Ani whose sense of responsibility for an unborn kid is so high that due to Arshi’s stomach ache he can’t manipulate the situation to find j’s whereabouts. It’s not about empathising with his situation but the futility of creating an impediment only to highlight his helplessness which I already buy cos where will a married guy gallivant? 😂😂😂😂

Similarly I am supposed to buy a J whose first concern was Ani’s marriage so the tag of home breaker won’t attach to her when the announcement of her lover having baby with an ex comes 😂😂😂😂😂 the utter foolishness of that emotion please shove it right up the writer’s LMy point is if you situate your characters in such unwinnable positions Bhai kya hi kare!!

100% to everything you wrote Rekha. I feel the same way. Her goal is episode count. Thats why Arshi is kept stupid BH too. So many times Ani has said he loves J, yet everytime they all act like its a new revelation.

Only one thing I'd like to add. Ani/J's response to Arshi's news was def disappointing as Leena chose to keep focus on Arshi. It was almost if Ani J started thinking this through - she could not control the direction it went, and she wanted Ani Arshi married. I think what prompted that non typical J burst was the slap in the face abt the fact that Ani had slept with Arshi and told her they never had a relationship. Same as pre-aag (Ani's performance makes J think he actually loves Arshi and was just feeling sorry for her), it hit her again that Ani still has some feelings for Arshi, enough to haave a physical relationship.. the distrust kindled again and the disappointment and some jealousy boiled out. She walked out telling Ani - he needed to marry her, but she was expecting Ani to refuse. For her it was a shock that he married Arshi in the same mandap.

Ani has still to learn that J does not always say what she wants. She acts one way and expects another from Ani. She told Minu - I know I said my decision that they should marry, but Ani said he could not live without her, so how could he marry Arshi.

J has done this many times. Even the aashirvaad, she said she wanted Ani to marry Arshi, but all the accusing glances she was sending his way was saying something else altogether.

BEKAR is a very simple word to describe that show. According to wiki .....it was the dirtiest show of bengali television......and characters of that show were criticised for being characterless .

If these idiots want the create "the dirtiest show of national television" 🤡 then they can copy guddi show all they want. Who are we to stop them? 🤡🤡🤡

In Roshnai, i.e., the Bengali version of Jhanak, they have started making alterations based on viewers' opinion...the aag track is playing out there now... yesterday I saw a clip of post aag conversation between leads...the ML is made less stern and less doubtful of FL's involvement in the burning...FL is also shown more steady, unlike J who was literally shivering out of fear! They have also changed the train scene where Ani uttered ILU in low voice...here ML and FL didn't have that scene! In between, they may have altered other stuffs also, but I don't follow the show in general, so can't comment...basically, they can course correct in that show based on feedback of Jhanak fans, but will not do anything positive here!! Leena and her PH better be thrown out from ITV asap!

So they are using jhanak show as a test drive and will do changes for Bengali audiences based on the reactions on Hindi belt . I'm already feeling bad for roshnai show fans......they had no idea what they are going to deal with in future 🤣
