In the story, only Ani has read the actual letter and his memory can become hazy at any point as per Leena's writing mood .....Ani woh letter ke details bhool gaya toh story mein bhi sab bhool jayenge

One way the letter can still play a part is in this evaluation of Ani that BBG is doing.....if he learns that Ani had Urvashi's last letter and bas us ek letter ko padh ke hi Ani ne itna protect kiya Jhanak ko, that should give him the answer about how far Ani can go for Jhanak and maybe he can give his dumb daughter some clarity on that front

@bold: I agree with this...it wasn't out of character for Ani to want to support Arshi after the aag given their long term relationship and him wanting to support her in a crisis.....but yes it was weird how they tried to flip the narrative into showing him forcibly distant from Jhanak and not being shown thinking about her unless people in the family or Arshi would taunt him with Jhanak's name. That was some poor writing. They could have shown that he was aware of his feelings for Jhanak but had accepted that she left him, that is why he decided to stay and support Arshi since she needed him then. Instead they tried to forcibly show Ani thinking he doesn't even love Jhanak and he loves Arshi instead

It gets all the funnier when you see the current storyline which is all about glorifying the greys in love and relationships, trying to justify people making up their own rules about which marriages are valid and which aren't....lol so why have Ani and Jhanak been held to such stringent standards by all the characters in the story?

Ani has been sort of shown accepting that he tried to make it work with Arshi from a perspective of companionship but even that didn't work out cuz his heart always craved Jhanak and he couldn't look at anyone else.

Jhanak is currently in the zone where she knows Ani doesn't love Arshi but expects him to make it work with Arshi from a companionship perspective over the technicality of shaadi label....so not sure what kind of implosion she needs to witness to realize Anishi can't work from that angle anymore either....neither love, nor companionship....there is total incompatibility there.

Everyone as per their convenience start giving morality ka gyaan and lecture to Ani on what he should do and should not do and also somewhere judge him and decide for himself on the basis of that

Specially Arshi and Jhanak

When the truth is none of them has done anything that is so called "moral"... Jhanak also has done a lot of things that is not according to societal norm, going on claiming Ani as her dil se pati when according to her Arshi was his wife society ke samne, getting physical with him while calling him "hone wale jija"..., then as per her convenience leaving him...after big big promises...but then that is her immortal divine eternal love ,but Ani is immoral & wrong if he is finally choosing his happiness ...

Baas for once if Ani opens his mouth and starts counting these two sister's hypocrisy,how these two sisters have spoilt his life with their eccentricity ,both of them won't find a place hide their face, but looks like waisa kabhi nahi hoga and it's always Ani who would be responsible for their "misery" and all the wrongs happening in the world

@bold: WORD. My biggest pet peeve and irritation in this show is the way everyone BULLIES and PREACHES to Ani en masse.....grates on my nerves like anything. I seriously dislike how entitled everyone feels to preach about right or wrong to Ani given they are all going around being hypocrites doing immoral things per their own convenience but they act holier than thou like Ani is some paapi while they are all eternal victims.....lol beyond laughable.

Ani has always had a conscience to feel guilty even when he was lying in his prime era as a character.....but these people all lie and cheat without a hitch and then try to preach to Ani about right or wrong?

Exactly,all these while jhanak keep saying that I don't lie....I feel she deliberately used to say these things to make Ani feel bad for his lies on how much wrong he was doing...& He was always getting affected which could be seen from his monologues....how he used to give explanation to jhanak in his mind on oneday you might understand why I am doing all this & all

But now when I look back I can see that Anirudh was the only person in her life who was her own but she was never once truthful to him...all she has said to him is lie,lie and lie

Anirudh sometimes good, sometimes bad but was always honest about his feelings with her....he even tried to confide to him after kashmir night on how suffocated he was feeling and was asking for her help but she was busy in lying & she is neither understanding nor regretting

If both considered that shaadi valid then the onus to make it work was on both of them..if you expect Ani to do all the heavy lifting always toh you have to be compassionate and empathetic when he fails to which never happens

Lol I’ve always found it hilarious how Jhanak has claimed she never lies and has given so many lectures to Ani about lying when she herself has lied plenty of times. Starting with her instant offer to hide and lie about their Kashmir Shaadi and never tell anyone

She satisfied her ego by shaming Ani for lying and being blind to her own lying.

Today also it was hilarious to see her claiming to her Papa that she wants to be self reliant in life and doesn’t need anyone to support her 😂. Right. This is why she was literally building her career in Mumbai first with Rudra’s help and then with AK literally setting up roles for her😂. Her sudden need for self reliance only rises as an excuse to push Ani away 🤷‍♀️😂

Why both Jhanak and Ani didn't think of eachother atleast once during Mumbai track...

But even then, based on how they've potrayed Ani now, I can assume he's given his all to revert back to before Jhanak era and don't think of her or hurt thinking about her at all... He has his responsibilities clear and didn't want to wallow in love which has nothing left...

He's very instinctual and self-contradicting sometimes. And very human...

And as for Jhanak, I can only tell that something broke in her when Ani married Arshi, which didn't heal till now, even when he confessed everything to her...

Jhanak always chooses to run away from him and doesn't think about him at all whenever she gets a chance. Par jab wo saamne aata he to khudko rok nehi pati he...

I don't understand why she wants to run away at all in the first place, especially now...

But the thing is something broke inside Ani as well when Jhanak completely disowned that kashmir night in front of him when according to him whatever he remembered they shared an emotionally intimate moment...But Jhanak still pushed him towards Arshi by stating that " nothing worth remembering or talking happened that night" , something broke inside Ani as well when Jhanak didn't even listen to him and character assasinated him with brutal words after him talking about his suffocation

Ani was completely finished after jhanak's brutal words in Mumbai hospital, yet look at him now....

Did Ani ever questioned her for once fir her hastily coming for bacche ka right and destroy his reputation

Baas this is the thing .....

You know the fact that after getting rejected by jhanak again and again and after the brutality jhanak displayed on Mumbai hospital, still Anirudh took the courage to again bare his soul to jhanak with complete honesty in kol hospital, again confessing his love...it must have taken a lot of strength and courage ..He did wear his heart on his sleeve for her & she in a way again trampled it.....

Yes...RuNak relationship was complicated both of them went through a lot and yes both of them did hurt eachother but it happened from both the side...now healing and restoration is only possible if effort is from both the sides

I am actually feeling sad for the producers of " pyaar ekk tarfa"....Apna paise ka nukshan woh alag aur zindagi me fir kabhi kisi fresh face ko chance nahi dega, after the unprofessionalism jhanak showed and she is not even remembering it once

Even before the shaadi happened, many times Jhanak called Arshi his wife by claiming almost wife means same thing as wife only

So Jhanak's real problem is that Ani has a past with Arshi....that's what she can't get over no matter how much Ani has clarifed the journey of his feelings to her. Ironically she married Ani with full rituals herself and she knows this but still refuses to give validity to her own shaadi while crying over a fake non-existent shaadi of Anishi.....then this is just self-inflicted torture for no reason. I just can't connect or sympathize with this logic

What I really can't understand is how Jhanak can still keep running away from an Ani who has stood up for his love openly since the HA track....he has shown how much he pines for her and she immediately does out of sight, out of mind on him first chance she gets....that is where Leena's writing is the poorest.

Jab woh saamne aata hai, woh khud ko rok nahin paati from serving him chai parathe, that's it? .....this is how Leena thinks audience will be convinced ki Jhanak still loves him even if she otherwise doesn't even factor him a bit into her life?

Exactly....Jhanak knows everything, how much Ani loves her..., that he doesn't love Arshi, that Arshi is a terrible terrible wife with absolute lack of humanity, that Ani becomes lifeless without her, she even knows the AniShi marriage is not complete and what majboori Ani is in...

So what is stopping her from having an honest heart to heart conversation with Ani, what is stopping her from stating what she feels about him at least...

The only thing that I am being able to gather is her issue is Ani had a past with Arshi...Arshi was with him with as his lover/fiance when he met her, so that is stuck...more than Ani's action,if there is anything that can erase this roadblock from her mind then it's Jhanak herself, with analysation, revisiting past and try to be mature to be able to listen to others and stop considering herself as the only right person in the world

AY, for me the letter is at the core of this love story.

Ani may have been in principle against the temple wedding but once he took the plunge, he has subconsciously adopted the trait of a partner looking out his loved one in every which way that mattered.

Yesterday, when BBG was ironically mentioning his observations etc, I was thinking… you did not do anything that you expect from Ani who has walked the talk in more ways than one. Nyochavar isse zyada kya hi kar sakta koi pyaar main?
Jhanak attached value to the ritual and Ani attached value to the underlying meaning of that ritual. Ofc she is young and so I do not expect her to attach more value at this stage but I will always credit Leena for building an organic bond from that inorganic start.

I run away from serials that make women and men gravitate to each other due to the ritual shared… Jhanak serial does the opposite… it moved away from the ritual but somehow it rooted itself to the meaning of that ritual to show two people falling in love…
