He has never received pure love ...we expect pure love from our parents but what he got from them is a transaction..he paid price and got their attention.. exactly how Arshi is in his life..she ticked all the boxes for him..and she is in his life...

First time he felt and got pure love..he doesn't know how to love someone in a healthy manner..bcz usne khud kabhi feel Kiya hi nahi....lot of growth is required..but most importantly healing is necessary for both of them...a little bit healing....
