yeh, i think he was trying to just shut everyone up and end the conversation...

He does not want to keep J in the house but closer to her or know her whereabouts at least which makes sense at the moment... but that will change if and when they accept their marriage. I choose to trust Ani's words around Jhanak more than when he talks to anyone else. He is manipulative around others
